I am new to the board, and also will be new to parenting. I am adopting a baby from Guatemala, who will hopefully home by Spring. Just wondering if there are other adoptive parents in the Los Angeles area, and if you know of any support/play groups etc. Thanks.

Hey we are nit from LA but we are adopting from Guatemala. Would love to touch base with you. Where are you in the process? Our little girl will be 1 year old Jan 6th and we are still waiting. Are you going to Alaska?

I am in family court which is closed now until 1/16. I will be bringing home my baby in March, God willing. Where are you? I don't know about the cruise yet...I have to get used to motherhood first!

Just got my birth certificate. Got my refferal in Jan 05 so it has been a loooong process. I am waiting on my embassy appt. I hope that I will get it before her 1st birthday. ( Jan 6th).

I had read your post about adopting..congrats. I myself and my partner do not have any kids but we want to adopt..either internationally or domestic. If you have time, i'd love to ask you questions about your adoption.
