Second Annual Rainbow Families Water-Park Weekend at the Dells
Rainbow Families of IL and Rainbow Families of WI co-host a weekend of indoor water park fun at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Wisconsin Dells.
Jan 15th- Jan 18th (Please note: This is a holiday weekend for many school districts)
Join over 60 LGBT families from across the Midwest as we gather for a weekend of fun and friendship at one of the best indoor water parks in the Wisconsin Dells. It may be freezing and snowy outside, but inside it's a tropical oasis.
Currently there are 59 rooms left in the resort. Please call the Great Wolf Lodge for booking your room. Tell them you are with the Rainbow Families group.

The tentative itinerary for the weekend is as follows:
Friday Night
- Families Check-in (LGBT Families from across the Midwest arrive at the lodge for a weekend of family-friendly fun)
- Social hour/night at the Lounge for those adults interested (Meet fellow LGBT parents)
- Story time for kids (provided by Great Wolf) at 8:00 PM (Join us in the lobby around the Clock Tower for story time. Wear your favorite pajamas!)
Saturday
- Join us in the water-park as we spend the day on the slides, lazy river, and wave pool (Note: there are different water-park activities for any age group from toddlers to adults!) We plan to have a hospitality Cabana for LGBT families to stop by and socialize with one another.
- Kid-friendly movie (ages 3-12) at 6:15 PM
- Teen Space (we are hoping to have a Wii set up for the teenagers as well as other games and space for them to hang out and visit with one another) If you are interested in helping us organize the teen space- please let us know.
- Adults social area across hall from the kid's space 6:15 PM - 9:00 PM (cash bar and place for socializing with other LGBT parents)
Sunday
-More fun at the water-park. You might also want to check out MagiQuest – a four-story, live-action adventure game at the resort.
-Visit with your friends- new and old.
-Explore the other attractions that the Wisconsin Dells has to offer. We hope to have a message board set up to allow easy organizing of off-site dinners and events as people are interested.
