Hi all I am new to this site.I have spinal problem which causes me great pain and over 12 years has made it practically impossible to walk.I bought a lightweight mobility scooter approx 3 years ago to use to go shopping etc but now need a much larger one.Can anyone please recommend a good scooter with good suspension for around £1500 £2000.I have been amazed at the difference between the prices on the Internet and the prices at the mobility shops.I can understand that if you have a problem and you have bought from a shop you can take it back and also will have after sales help but £700 to over £1000 difference is ridiculous.I try to get out and do a little wildlife photography to take my mind off things so although I am not going to scale Everest I need something that will soften the jolts over uneven ground,as even using the lightweight one on pavements is painful. Thanks

Check out Shoprider scooters. They have a couple of models that are built for larger people, which have a good suspension and a very good seat, almost like a car seat. The only problem is that they are large and heavy. I do not know who sells them online.

One plus of going to a mobility shop is that they can help you find the best scooter for your needs, as wll as the service that you mentioned.

There is a good mobility shop in South Hetton for trialing scooters graham, its not far from Billingham, just up the A19. My gramps got his there and they arranged insurance and servicing for him but they may not be the cheapest. And you should also try my this link there is some good mobility Scooters (http://www.1stclassmobility.net)
