Hello All,

We are so excited about the upcoming Alaska cruise. Got a question, especially for those who have been on a whale watching excursion in Washington state, Alaska or BC. We are interested in seeing Orcas and are looking for an eco-friendly whale watching business. Last summers cruise, several of us booked with a eco-friendly whale watch company called Dolphin Fleet out of Provincetown. We saw so many whales and were thoroughly educated the whole time by the captain and others on the boat. The captain was very respectful of the whales, not chasing them down, like some of the others (non eco-friendly).

So, my question is can anyone recommend a whale watch company either in the Seattle/San Juan Islands area, Alaska, or BC? Of course, they would have to be near the ports we will be visiting. I know we could travel an hour and a half by car from Seattle to take a ferry over to San Juan Islands and if we can't locate something in Alaska or BC, we will probably do that. I would rather spend a couple of days exploring Seattle, and do the whale watching in Alaska, so hopefully I will hear from someone on this group. Feel free to e-mail me directly.

Thank you!
