Hey Everyone,
A reminder tonight on LIFETIME here on the (eastcoast at 9) is our RO in AMERICA.
One youngman's journey through the Fostercare system.
This hits very close to home for me on many levels.
It speaks from a personal standpoint and is prevalent in my everyday life as
a provider of services in the Not for Profit community..
It is a huge epidemic in our country.
We as a community if given the opportunity
could make a difference in thousands of children's lives.
YOU GO RO
THANK YOU for your continued support of the children that would have no voice.
LOVE YOU

We had a movie night in Iowa at the Residential Treatment Facility I work at. About 50 of my no-permanency (they will age out of foster care as they have no permanent home) kids were there. We all really enjoyed it--kids were able to relate to America & the others on many levels. Many laughs, cheers and tears. Way to go Ro--and thanks to all the others who watched it. Cheryl is right-------it is very true-----and every kid needs somebody!

We don't get LIFETIME here, but we were truly Blessed by an invitation from our love family (met on Rfamily cruise) Rosa & Mita (Bob, Mario, Diago). We were able to go the Premiere in Nyack -this experience has had a profound effect on me.
I spent most of my career working with survivors of child sexual abuse...the last 10 with homeless youth 16-24. This is a Universal problem not only an 'American' problem....our children in Canada can leave or get kicked out of the system at 16!!!! They come to me with mile long labels, all drugged up on anti psychotics, benzo's or dope sick from street drugs...just heart wrenching.
This was so well done I was able to forget they were actors...they represented the system and childhood trauma extremely well..so well, I cried all the way through...
Rosie is no longer this celebrity I've been in awe of for years....but a sister who I am in awe of for her passion for children...for what is right-for making a difference...in the end she knows more than anyone...it's not the money you have that makes you successful.
As a survivor and a former homeless youth...I stand and applaud AMERICA...the author, Rosie and all of the wonderful actors...BRAVO! You all gave those without power a voice!
The added treat of the evening was the performance by RBK...love love loved it..talented and gorgeous kids...three of which are currently homeless..I would have given my eye teeth if I could have brought them home with me.
Watch the movie...share it...talk about it..Do something..anything...a child's life may depend on it!
Peace, Light, and Love
