Howdy,

My partner, my daughter, my sister and I are planning on joining the July 7th cruise next year and would like to book a family stateroom (the D-Family class). My partner is due November 5th so for superstitious reasons don't want to add the baby to our room at this time. Also, my partner's sister is thinking about joining us as well, but needs a few weeks to make sure she can get off work. So my question is, if we book now, can we add the baby and my sister-in-law at a later date?

Thanks,

April

We were able to add our 2nd daughter about 3 weeks prior to departure for the Alaska cruise. So, yes you can. And congratulations on your unborn child.

April --

You should definately call the R Family office and talk through it with them. The Alaska cruise was at capacity plus because of additions and they might be doing things differently with future cruises. I had to call about some last minute paperwork issues just a few days before the Alaska cruise and the R Family folks were incredibly helpful and kind. Jackie was on the phone with me surfing the net to find the answers to my questions. They'll be able to help you figure it out because they want what is best for your family and your vacation.

April, for the cruises, here is what is said about adding/ extra people:

Name Changes / Late Bookings: Reservations may be transferred to another guest for a penalty of $150 until 14 days prior to the departure. Anyone making reservations within 14 days of departure must pay overnight charges of $25 for shipping of documents.

Hope that helps!

I asked the same question directly by email to R Family...you can add someone right up to the last minute (giving time for docs, etc.) But if they are booked, then no. They kept adding people at the last minute for Alaska and he said they will not do it this year due to over crowding....

I would email or call them directly and see what they can do for you..they are very very helpful!

How cool. Congratulations! What a wonderful addition - both to your home and of course to your home away from home - the cruise. I wonder what his passport picture will look like :D !

post with you later,
