Hi All,

We booked our trip which was followed by realization on my part that this is the first time it will not be easy for me to work on a vacation.

I read the other forums on past cruises but want to find out how you've been able to do.

I have a verizon card for my laptop - will I need to have any special services allowed on it. I get it through my employer. Has anyone succesfully used one of these?

I think I read that there will be surcharges which should be fine.

Does anyone know the cost of the actual internet on the ship - I'm wondering if that is cheaper - is it only available in the internet cafe.

I'm not a work-a-holic or anything sort of a check-in-aholic :)

ShiningStar,

I don't believe you will be able to receive Verizon service while we are sailing but it should work for you when we are in port. Likewise, if you have Wi-Fi on your laptop you should be able to find hotspots as well.

The ship does offer Internet service in the Internet Cafe, or you can access the Internet in some public areas from you laptop if you have Wi-Fi. Internet access, whether from the Cafe or via Wi-Fi, will cost anywhere from 35 to 75 cents/minute depending on the access package you purchase.

The on-ship Internet access is pretty slow so don’t plan on transferring any large files, but it works fine for email.

Hope this helps.
