Can you confirm the boat that will be used for the July 2007 cruise?

Our family of 4 plans to go but I want to know more about the ship before booking a room. This will be our first cruise. Where do kids #1 and #2 sleep in a room that sleeps 4? It looks to have one popout from the wall...what about the other? How does child get to the bunk on the wall?

Kind regards,

Kaitlyn

This was my big question before Alaska - it was very hard to picture until we saw it happen.

The deal is, there are two twins (you see those in the pics.) Bed #3 is a trundle-type they pull out for you underneath, creating a huge triple bed (and NO room!). Bed #4 is a bunk that folds down from the wall - it has a small guard rail on it, and there is a ladder in the closet. Our 6 year old loved the bunk; the 3 year old, sad to say, insisted on sleeping in between us. Don't go for the romance of it!

Did I mention it was crowded? Really crowded. And no, you don't spend a lot of time in your cabin, which is good.

Please call our offices regarding the ship being used for next summer. We are in the process of changing ships so we can have more space for everyone!!

Kelli,

Does this mean we will be sailing on a different ship than the Spirit? Which one will we be sailing on?

Does this also mean that the ship will be very overcrowded again. Greg had said the the Spirit was the same size as the Star but held less people therefore it would be less crowded. Please let us know.

i was on the spirit- it is a really nice ship, but i thought it was alot smaller. will be nice if they could trade to a bigger ship. if not, you will be happy with the spirit- it is very nice

I was told on Friday that the ship will be the Dawn again. We loved the Dawn on the first 2 cruises, but I hope that it can accommodate the increasing numbers. The pool areas are pretty small.

After much evaluation of both ships, we decided that the dawn could better accomodate the number of passengers we plan on having this summer. We will shut down reservations sooner than we did for Alaska since we are offering 2 cruises plus a couple of additional smaller trips next year.

I believe that the switch is a great one and will make the experience a better one for all.

Hi Kelli,

If we have a room assignment for the Spirit, do we need to contact Colleen?

We will limit the number of passengers on the Dawn so there will not be as many people as we had in Alaska. It got a little cozy at times but we promise to give you more space! We went back to the Dawn because we needed more cabins that connected and more staterooms that accommodate four passengers.

There will be an official announcement next week. :)
