View Full Version : Countdown to the Caribbean: A Losers Log

218 days and counting….
A loser is defined as, “a social misfit; somebody who is unable or unwilling to adjust to society.” So describing me this way seems completely appropriate. However, instead of considering the expression to be an informal insult, I wear it like an orange badge of courage. Indeed, in a culture where the religious-right engages in duplicity and endorses perverse values that categorize anyone who is different as deviant, I proudly and joyfully dance to the beat of different drum. It is the thump of that drum that has led me to embark on the R Family Cruise to the Caribbean. All that having been said, it brings me to….
WHAT THE HECK WAS I THINKING? I realized about a year ago—when I quit my job of eight years and moved from San Diego to Palm Desert—that I was impulsive, but now I realize that even my impulses have impulses. You see, I started visiting Rosie.com about 6 months ago. While I had always been a huge fan of Rosie—since her days hosting VH1 Video Spotlight—I wasn’t the type of individual who spent time at celebrity web sites… but I got hooked within my first couple of visits; reading her prose and her blog. The next thing I knew… I was asking question after question at “Ask Rosie” and becoming more and more indignant because she never answered me. Finally, on June 3rd after reading one of the many “hate mails” she receives and posts, I asked her this:
“What? You post Paula calling you a ***** and ignore me? If profanity is what it takes… *****! Dang… I’m a big MO myself so it’s really only a Term of Endearment.”
She posted my question and replied: Hi Doug!
I was in heaven: Rosie O’Donnell said “Hi” to me. The next thing I knew… I was ordering a T-shirt and post-it notes with her face on them and sending everyone I knew to her website to view the post. It is amazing how a simple “Hi” from someone you admire can boost one’s self-esteem and create a little piece of happiness.
Anyway, a few weeks later—I don’t remember the exact day—I viewed Rosie’s Documentary “All Aboard” and just KNEW I had to go on one of the Cruises. Indeed, I immediately began searching the R Family website and tried to decide between going on the Galapagos cruise alone or on the Caribbean cruise with my younger sister—on my dime, of course. Then it happened… I went to a movie… Johnny Depp… Pirates of the Caribbean: I pictured myself on the Caribbean (okay, I’ll admit it… WITH Johnny… or Orlando for that matter) and that’s all she wrote! I found myself making repeated phone calls to R Family… but they were ALL on the Alaska Cruise… so I had to wait. I was actually surprised when I got Gregg on the phone last Tuesday.
To make a long story very short—I know what you’re thinking… too late!—I booked the Caribbean Cruise for myself and my sister. Then Last night, she telephones me and tells me that she can’t get that week off of work. So, I had to make a choice: cancel the entire trip or embark on the journey alone.
A decision was made and an impulse was realized: I’ll be there.
It is my hope that posting my countdown to the cruise will allow stranger/friends the opportunity to get to know me and maybe someone will want to at say “Hi” to me in February and create another little piece of happiness.;)
More tomorrow…

Hey Doug,
"HI Doug" , Way to go and here's to getting to know you and to meet you while on the cruise. We are in Anaheim, CA here. It's too bad that your sister couldn't get the time off from work, I know she would of had the time of her Life on the Cruise :( .
Well gotta run, just wanted to stop by and say "Hi Doug" and Welcome aboard.
Talk with you later,
Cardiffgal

Hey Doug,
Why don't you bring your dad & step-mother on the cruise with you? Lots of people brought their parents with them. They will have the time of their life also, along with you! Or maybe, someone will drop into your life between now and embarkation date of the cruise.
Either way, with parents, friends, or alone.......you WILL have the time of your life!

Hi Back at ya' Jeff & Darrell! It's official... you two are now my favorite people on the cruise! I've read your posts on other threads before... somehow, I knew you two were special.
I'm heading up to Idyllwild to visit my Dad & Step-mother... and escape the 119 degree temperature today. My family is important to me, so it's sadly ironic that I'll be on the cruise by myself... but they'll be with me in spirit.
Thanks for the little piece of happiness today.

Hi Cardiffgal! Thanks for the response. Yes, I realize that I still have time to find someone to bring with me… but it’s been 43 years… Tick Tock! This clock has wound down and I readily accept my lot in life.
Hi Wigglewomyn! Thanks for your response too! My father and step-mother both would have loved to join me. Unfortunately, they will already be on a cruise of the Mexican Riviera—at the exact same time—to celebrate my fathers 70th Birthday (Go-DAD!). Their cruise was bought and paid for many months ago… and as I mentioned before, my embarking on the R Family Cruise was more spur-of-the-moment and impulsive. However; I have my parent’s full blessing and encouragement to take this cruise. My father thinks I will have a great time by myself and said, “You’ve always done what you’ve needed to do… do this.”
I am so excited about going on this cruise—even though I’ll be by myself—that I can’t even begin to tell you. I’m keeping this log to hopefully meet some people that I can say “Hi” to or maybe even have a dance with on the ship… Gay, Lesbian, Straight… I love everyone… well… except Republicans… I don’t “hate” Republicans, but I have an immense aversion to them… like a cat has to water. Indeed, my beloved late cat would growl, hiss, and scratch anytime I took him anywhere near the water… and I do pretty much the same thing when you take me near a Republican.
More tomorrow…

Come and hang with our Crew. It will be myself, Jeff, our 2 sons and hopefully our new daughter too. We have already know of another family that we have heard from here and look forward to meeting them before or on the cruise.
It's going to be a Wonderful, Spectacular and Crazy time to be had by one and all. I know for our family, it will be like something out of a Fantasy come true. We would like to thank, Gregg,Kelli, Rosie, Colleen and the rest of the R Family Vacation Employees in advance for putting this Cruise. Where people can be them selves and not worrry about being judged for what they are, instead of who they are. Where we can let our hair down and just have a Great and Wonderful Time enjoying everyones company. Our family looks forward to meeting new friends and sharing laughs and tears of Joy with all of Our new Family. We are also looking forward to our Holy Union Ceremony, that will be happening on February 23 while at Sea.
Again your welcome to join our family and experience the cruise together. It's always strange trying new things, but it has been our experience in the past, have a little faith and let your hair down and remember to have Fun.
Talk with you later,
:) :D :)

I watched “All Aboard” again last night. What a great documentary. The message is subtle and the result is moving. I especially admire the teenagers who were raised by gay parents: they were so eloquent and inspiring. Additionally, I just love the two lesbians—can remember their names, sorry—who were trying to have a child of their own. I was yelling at the TV... I’ll donate my sperm for you! I think they still swim… maybe not as fast and vigorously as they used to… but what they lack in strength they make up for in stamina. Indeed, I don’t think I’ve ever thought of being a sperm donor before, so All Aboard even made me think outside of my own box.
Last night we had a huge thunder and lightning storm. I once read—or ironically, maybe it was Rosie who said she read it in Sleepless in Seattle—that statistically the chance of being hit by lightning is greater than then the chance of finding a life-partner after the age of 40. So, I went outside… stretched out my arms and waited… and waited… Nuthin’!
Thanks for being so kind Jeff & Darrell. I look forward to meeting you on the ship.
Oh, I read this at the R Family website today:
“Single travelers are welcome. We offer the opportunity to meet other single travelers with our singles mixers, dinners, and special events.”
Woo Hoo! Not only am I making “family” friends, I might meet single ones too.
215 days and counting… I can’t wait!

Doug.
i went on the Massachusetts cruise myself. You will not be the only solo guy there. I will be there. I am going with my mother (to celebrate her 80th birthday) But you will meet people. I might be on the summer cruise alone but I don't mind. We will meet. Things will be fine. You can join us for meals.

<Rummages through closet> *Thinking* what to wear? What to wear?
*Thinking* Jeff & Darrell are having a “union” too. I wonder if I can get a blender through customs?

So, did anyone watch the news tonight? Cruise ship… sharp turn… flying passengers… it would actually have been kind of funny—with all of us going on a cruise and all—if there hadn’t been some serious injuries.
Israel, Lebanon, Syria… it never ends. We can’t point fingers because they reflect back to our own shores. My vote counted; California is Blue.
One week… free to be ourselves without condemnation and where we can temporarily escape the world. It can’t get here soon enough.

As the unofficial US Customs Officer for RFamily I will allow the blender but I will have to sort through all your luggage anyway just to be on the safe side. And for the record I have been struck by lightning twice in my lifetime and sadly am still single at 41. I guess it is true.

Hey Doug,
I went with my 15 year old for all three cruises and didnt see her until the last day. I was basically alone. But never alone.. I have met a lot of beautiful fun and caring people. You might be going to the ship alone. But when you get there you will be with R Family . . You are going to have a blast.. There is just so much to do. No time to sleep. Have a great trip.

:D Doug-I met so many people on the forum on the trip-some of us hit it off so very well.
Also I met people on the boat just standing there-met crazy new friends dancing at Spinnackers . I was open to everything. So many people had too much fun. It is an adventure to embrace. With everything happening in the world it is good to be free and forget-The universe seemed to open up all the glory for the Alaska trip. My partner and I had so much fun. I will introduce you to Susan Powter-I adore her and visa versa.. My son met so many great new little friends. And we got the bonus of sharing time with new friends.THe rfamily team-bravo-even under stress-I watched Kelli smile all the time. A real smile-and tears in her eyes when people were leaving the ship. That was powerful!
Also I had never done chat lines or forums before this one, so glad that I did. Meeting all of these great people in a loving non judgemental atmosphere was beyond perfection. That is why our family is rfamily-you will only want to vacation with them after your experience. PLus the added bonus the food-chocolate buffet-escargot-everything-yum.
Plus very funny things that happened on the boat-that i will share in Feb. when we meet.

212 days...
Thanks for the posts PapaJim, Crazy Cheryl & Jblksmith1. I am already feeling totally comfortable going on the cruise and look forward to meeting each and every one of you. I love to dance... so don't be surprised if I drag you on the dance floor with me. I love Karaoke too... anyone up for a duet?
I bought my Airline Ticket today... a few days short of seven months early... but I wanted to get it over and done with. I could have saved several hundred dollars by flying out of one of the larger airports (all at least a 2 1/2 hour drive away) but opted for the one closest to home. Additionally, because I'm on the west coast, I have to fly out a day early... wouldn't make it on time flying out that morning and there were no red-eyes that didn't go through Chicago... in February... I don't think so... might have got snowed in or delayed and didn't want to take the chance. I'll look for a cheap hotel for the one night at a later date. Anyone else getting a room for a night?
I know I'm excited about this cruise because I had a dream about Rosie O'Donnell last night  As a gay man... it was just WRONG. I kept thinking... where did Johnny Depp go and WHY is Rosie here and WHAT is she doing?
Time for bed... here's to dreaming of Johnny... Rosie: I just ain't that kind of girl! :p

:D I had odd dreams too-that the cabin steward made a drawing on how to clean the room-maybe because I ask my husband " Do I need to draw you a map to the dishwasher?"
and about JD from reading your threads, I am sure. In my dream I was out by the pool in some hotel andhe was on a cell phone..he interupted his call to tell me that I had a major blowout in the back of my bathing suit, as I looked it was a gigantic tear. I was mortified, but he gave me a Falcons jacket. Who are the Falcons? A sports team, I suppose. Like a gay man would know these things. Talk with me about the fall line, now you're preaching to the choir:eek:
About the hotels-I have contacted rfamily re: Hotels near port: possible discount for rfamily members. I will pass on any info. as I find out. We stay at the Marriot, don't know if there is one by port. We also come in the day before and stay the day after, to avoid any stress. This gal does not like to be rushed-it throws me into a tatter-silly queen:eek:

Hello All,
I've been looking for Hotels near the Airport and the only ones that I can find near the port of miami that have openings so far are the Fortune House which costs a fortune = $ 429.52 that's with tax, the Inter Continetal Miami = $419.00 .These are with in a 1-2 miles of the port, there are alot around 10 miles from the port that I can find.
We are going to Triple AAA tomorrow and see if they can get us a better deal. If you have the travel plan with your Chevron Gas Card, then you will have access to the Quest Hotels, which can save you up to $125.oo a night.
I will post more when I find out more of the available prices.

Hi Doug,
So glad you decided to join us!
Great thing about an R Family cruise is everyone is so darn friendly. You'll find it very easy to meet people and make new friends on board.
I look forward to meeting you in person as does everyone on the R Family Team. I enjoyed speaking with you from our office.
See you this winter "on the boat"!
With Kind Regards,
Gregg

Hi Gregg! Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I truly appreciate it. I no longer have any trepidation or fear about embarking on this cruise alone because I know I won’t be alone. I have already met some great people—2DadsinAnaheim (Jeff & Darrell), Larry, PapaJim, Cardiffgal (and her spouse), Wigglewomyn (Wendy) Jblksmith1, Crazy aka Cheryl, WaveJourney (Viv & Jill) Snowhite—in this forum and I look forward to meeting each and every one of them in person as well as the entire R Family Team. Additionally, I am looking forward to the “Singles Mixers.” Thanks Again…
Wow! Did you guys see that? < > Gregg, the R Family Moderator, posted on my thread… I feel special…
So, how would you all like me… medium or well done? I ask because it was 122 degrees (no that is not a typo) here today and I am cooking. Indeed, when the hot-tub feels “cool” you know it’s HOT! You’ve all heard of the “wet” look right? Well, I’ve got the “sweat” look… that’s when you walk outside… sweat… tussle your hair… and you’re off… I’ll save a fortune on “product.”
Anyhow, July 27th is the day that R Family will post the winners of the Caribbean cruise contest. I hope the cruise goes to a family that can’t afford it otherwise… and I would like to win an autographed copy of All Aboard. I’m easy to please…
One final thing… I searched for HOURS last night trying to find a reasonably priced hotel near the port and there is NOTHING. I did manage to find a place near the airport at $139 for a double bed… I’ll take it…

Hey Douglas
Great to hear you're going on the cruise - we'll see you there! We had a fab time on the Alaska cruise and were totally surprised that there were so many kids on board - we hardly saw them and when we did they were adorable. People were very friendly and it was a wonderful experience. You're going to be hooked!
Stay cool in the desert - if that's at all possible at this time of year. We'd love to live down there for six months of the year (not this time of the year though), maybe one day soon.
more later
Cheers!

When you come on the trip, don't forget your camera and products-I have pictures with Kelli-with and without doo-rag. Susan P. and me various doo's-with Esera and my son-in dreds. And with Gregg in the big apple suit and me in dreds. Shes a hair hopper you know!
If you run out of product or want that Tyra look-we will be in the balcony staterooms on 9.
Also I will be out on the balcony singing from Evita!:D

Hey Doug,
Are you well done yet? We were out there last weekend visitng a str8 friend of ours who's recovering from a broken hip. Let me tell All of you and Doug you can correct me if I mistate, you know it's HOT when it's a 125 in the shade. Thank the heavens that it was at least a dry heat, this could of been from the Fires in Morongo Valley at the time and that's why it was so, HOT. The best thing about that trip was stopping at Casino Morongo and winning $ 200.00 on nickels.
When we got home, we immediately put the money into our Cruise Fund. Just think in about 7 months from we will already be on the ship and enjoying ourselves and letting our hair down and have the Time of our Lives.
Here I go a rambling. so there is my daily dish with Miss D.
Catch you all tomorrow.

Hi Doug,
I have been reading this thread everyday since you started it and I have to tell you that when I come on the Forum, I know I will leave the thread smiling or laughing after I read what you have posted :-) I wish I was going on the Caribbean cruise in February so that we could meet. Unfortunately, we can barely afford one cruise a year and we are booked for the July one. Even though I have entered the contest to win a Caribbean cruise, I have never won a thing; my saying always is, if there were two people in a contest, the one that isn't me, would win ;-(
Hope you have a great Monday!!

Okay… what’s with the Ms. D thing? In less then two weeks I’ve gone from Douglas to Doug… to Ms. or Miss D. Papa Jim… you started it… and now you’ve got Jeff & Darrell doing it too! Trust me on this one guys… I am not a Miss. Or at least I didn’t think so until late this morning.
Picture it… I was trimming my bush… in the back yard (get your minds out of the gutter right now!) wearing only shorts and flip-flops… when I see it: The large red hourglass on the Black Widow… it hissed at me… Startled, I jumped back… slamming the back of my head onto a big branch extending from my orange tree… instinctively both of my hands reached to the back of my head… dropping the cutting sheers I was using… which proceeded to land on my right foot… I then pivoted—in pain—to my left foot when my flip-flop flipped off and onto the small deck next to the orange tree… my balance was completely gone… so I fell head first away from the orange tree and onto the vinyl hot-tub cover—which was exposed to the direct sunlight—burning my forehead and the palms of my hands as I pushed off of it. I turned around… and there it was… the black widow… running toward my recently injured right foot… I heard a loud scream… well; really, it was more of a yell, and quickly realized it was me doing the yelling… I then yanked my foot away from the cursed spider and ran toward the house… and while all of this was going on… what do you think was going through my mind? Ouch? That hurt? Help? Nope! A show tune… that’s right… you know the one… Streisand... opening song from A Star Is Born…<singing> “The big black widow is sittin’ in the middle of the web it’s the fly she seeks… you may be her lover but you never will recover cause she ain’t had a bite for weeks…”
Minutes later… while I was putting a band-aid on my right foot… It occurred to me that black widows don’t hiss… and it must have been my own gay-inhale—you know the one… the high pitched gasp—that sounded like a hiss… so, maybe I AM a Miss?
True Story… but I did have to work for the payoff… hope it was worth it.:p

I’m so sorry I’m not going to get to meet you in February Wendy. :( Maybe we will meet at another time. Thank you very much for your compliments, and I’ll look into those websites you gave me and get back to you. Thanks.

208 days and counting...
 <GASP> My imaginary boyfriend is cheating on me! Anyone remember you-know-who from page 1? The one who is traveling with his mother and said, “You can join us for meals.” Well, my brain translated that as “I want you to meet mom—at our wedding rehearsal dinner.” You say tomato; I say toe-mah-toe. Anyway, today I find him flirting with a new thread poster… ****guy. ****? Isn’t that some sort of sports channel? I might have understood an interest in Bravoguy or Lifetimeguy… but ****guy? Wait… there’s more… You-know-who wrote him, “There are others who have posted who will be alone so we should all meet up, have dinner in one of the specialty restaurants on the first night and get to know each other.” My brain translated that as, “we should have a ménage a trois.” What? I am NOT that kind of girl! Hold on… it gets worse! You-know-who concluded his little flirt-fest with ****guy by writing, “I might be alone on the summer [cruise] or with friends but in either [I] will include you.” What? Did I just read that right? Did my imaginary boyfriend—soon to be ex-husband—just “hook up” with ****guy for the summer cruise?”
Well! I think that is just RUDE… noticing other men when you’re with me. Indeed, if I can’t get an imaginary boyfriend to remain faithful for more than a week what hope is there with a real one? Is my being “single at 43” starting to make sense to all of you now? Admittedly, I might be a teeny-tiny-itsy-bitsy bit possessive… :o but still!
Gals… please, please, PLEASE make me an honorary Lesbian for the Cruise… men are pigs!
Snowhite… girlfriend… sorry I forgot to mention you in my earlier log entry as someone great that I have met… because you are great… despite your bladder control problem… (I’ll be sure to bring some “Depends” for you on the cruise… shhhh… it’ll be our little secret). I’d be happy to be one of your “dwarfs” on the cruise… Dopey… put a six-pack of Sam Adams in me and I’ll live up to the name.
One last thing… sorry folks… but I had the date wrong for the announcement of the winners of the Caribbean Cruise contest… it’s the 27th. I’ll post the winners list here once R Family Posts it okay?

 Poor dear Douglas, when a man on the threads cheats on you, you are destined down a path of tears-from Ms. diva Doug to Dowager Douglas in one week.
I suppose we won't be seeing you on the thread-Getting married in February. Did you have a gown picked out-a ring-like 4 center cut rubies sorrounded by 8 diamonds set in platinum and gold? If you did that would be so copy cat, since that is what my husband gave me on the July Cruise, for our 12th anniversary.;) Aint love grand? Sorry that is like asking a shut in if they enjoy trips-sorry, you were just jilted, how caddy. You will find some one-my fortune cookie said" I person that you met on the web, will find love on the big gay boat"
I also had the delight of being made a lesbian of honor on the cruise-we had a coranation ceremony and I was asked questions that thank the stars I had the answers for( brush up before you go on The Dinah Shore Golf Tornament-and soccer) If not I am sure that the ESPN guy would know the answers. Oh, how insensitive of me, he is the one that stole your man-or the one your man gravitated to. Regardless, if he is that fickle it is better to have ended-less heartache. And realy my dear, he knows that you are cute-if you went on a blind date, you may have wanted to be blind afterwards. "Douglas, get down from the ship railing!" " Don't jump girl" Did he know you watched lifetime and call everyone girl? Maybe he wanted more macho so he went to espn sport guy. And I ain't throwin stones child-I watch lifetime and call everyone darling. I did that to our driver in Washington everytime he dropped us off-" Thank-you darling -we'll call you in a couple hours, and don't smoke in the limo darling" Since he was from another country, he did not receive my true nature as refreshing. I think he called me something filthy-not sure.
So sorry for your calamity-maybe another person will answer the singles one-and warn them about Mr. X way. PLUS-you can tell your ex. that yooooou will never have to dine alone-because you made so many new freinds on the threads-your thread is the place to be darling , the hot spot. You tell her or I will:eek:

 Shocking - Doug also is not a princess-remember he is switching to lesbianetics, a good choice but no princesses in the lesbian world-unless you are a lip stick grandeaura!
I know -secretly we will go to the mixer, and pretend not to know Douglas...I will teach her the geisha glance. THe one that always worked for me. Men will fall all over themselves to meet me..I mean Doug. If anyone says " Hi ,I'm mr. X then we will hiss like vampires or snakes. Then we will say something trite like" Oh, the thread manhopper, we have heard about you!" " Be gone, scatter like the leaves on the ground you harlet!"
We could also hammer a mezzuzah to the door and have kaddesh so that no evil should enter the room. Also I like the idea of the nice handbag from the swine, eating it like in bacon, not so good. It is not Kosher! If these rituals don't get you hitched yentyl...then I don't know. Your only conselation will be comming to the house for passover-instead of the bitter herbs-we will have a bitter queen.

Whoa… whoa… WHOA… <gets off high-horse>
Howdy folks! You guys are great! I couldn’t be surrounded by a nicer, funnier or more protective group on the Caribbean cruise if I tried… more about that in a moment. First, I need to straighten something out…
Yesterday, I posted what I thought was a humorous ranting about an “imaginary” boyfriend cheating on me that included my own irrational thoughts like, “my brain translated that as” etc… It was meant to be self-deprecating humor, but instead, it has been taken more seriously then I thought it would be and someone is getting hurt by it—which was not my intent. Indeed, you-know-who extended a hand to me… letting me know I wouldn’t have to eat alone… and then he extended the same hand to someone else. The only thing he is guilty of is being kind and I deeply regret my post being taken too seriously and causing him emotional harm. I expected people to question my thinking pattern… after all… I turned an invitation to a meal into our wedding rehearsal dinner etc… that’s crazy isn’t it? Indeed, while what I wrote was factually accurate, my thoughts about it were irrational... That's what was supposed to have been funny! I have personally apologized to you-know-who and I extend the same apology to all of you for eliciting responses from some of you that could hurt someone unintentionally. This forum is about meeting and loving one another and I intend to do just that. I hope I have set the record straight… um… uh… I mean… gaily forward!
Okay… now for the rest:
Mary M… thanks for the post. :D You’re funny… One sentence and I laughed so hard that I cried. But, I said “Honorary Lesbian” You went and turned me into a big ol’ lipstick one… I say that because you can take the boy out of the boy but you can’t take the girl out of the boy!
PapaJim… hysterical… thanks for talking me down from the ship railing… I’ll be sure not to eat a ham, bacon and sausage omelet around you.
Crazy aka Cheryl… I drank a Cosmo for you girl!
Snowhite… We need to find 6 more dwarfs. :p
Jeff & Darrell… thanks for the support guys… do me the favor I asked in my IM would you? I would greatly appreciate it and I’ll buy you both a drink on the cruise.
Dawnov… I’ll send you an IM girl!
Tough day… it never feels good to cause pain… unintentionally or not.:(

:( In retrospect some things said in jest, can be taken out of the context and be hurtful. I too am guilty of exaserbating the fire, and I am publicly sorry. Douglas, even before boarding
ship we are already in trouble. I formed many on line friendships from this thread before our trip to Alaska- when boarding the ship, having my tiera pin on to identify, people came up to me and said" Papa Jim!" and I got so many hugs-even from people that never posted but read the threads. I meeting itsawendee first-she is a hoot-and frequent poster for alaska..then I met Kimgr-who was my thread banter partner! When she came up to me on ship and called my name, and I hers we screamed, jumped, kissed. The most amzing things is that my partner, Kims partner, kim and I became practicaly imseperable during the trip, and became part of each others chosen family. We love those gals and their son.
They even called us from Canada yesterday, and hope to be spending Thanksgiving with them. I swear to god, Kim and Jills son could be a baby model-he is the cutest kid I have ever seen in my life. But, the apple does not fall far from the tree-Kim and Jill are too cute.
We met so many people on board NJ Gals-flawless and funny-the gals from Madison avenue. Who would have known that I would be sitting next to someone at Kathy Griffin that I could speak yiddish to-who knew! Stacey(Gregs sister) love her and her friend Stacey! So many- all walks of life-all with our own stories-too much fun, love and freedom.
After leaving the boat, as I was warned, would be so sad-because it truly is an amazing experience. And you go back to the real world. So my dear husband boarded passage for the next 2 cruises. Happy wife, happy life. Husband has no ryme.
But the fact is I left the trip with fantastic memories and so many wonderful incredible new friends.I wish Kim and Jill and all the others would be comming to the Feb. cruise for all to meet. But, I guess you will have to book passage in July as well to meet them-they are fabulous darling. Lets all give a shout out into cyberspace for all my girls..heyyyyy!
I need to go night -night. Morning comes early and my son has friends comming over for an all day play date-our house is the place to be according to the kids. I will be taking coffee in pots not cups in the am. Peace out kids:cool:

:D Douglas and I are on a self imposed wit vacation-Just like kindergartin I am in the baby corner again.
Since I am the Master of Ceremony for our County Fair next week, I was asked a very odd question-and received a very odd remark from a 4-H lady.
1st: I was showing some of the fair board pictures of the cruise-new friends etc. This lady, who was as I found out Right wing conservative-found the pics. offensive. Their was nothing offensive by them-different people in embraces smiling. But, because we are Gay...it is somehow wrong to show true loving embrace. " Those people have children?"
she quiped. " Yes, I said calmly-We do, and they are happy well adjusted kids, growing up without hatred for anyone different than themselves. She looked at me and walked away. I am sure she went home performing a ritualistic ceremony so that we would all be saved. Saved from what? Maybe thier bigotry and hatred?
#2-I was asked to wear a firemans uniform, to introduce the hot-shot fire-fighters. I said Girl, straight hair-put helmet on-take helmet off in heat and humidity-look like Angela Davis afro circa 1968 after hat is removed:eek: I suppose I will Sacrifice the hair for the guys-the hot shot boys. Maybe I can find you a hot shooter to play with Doug!
MaryM

Yeah, I think they're always offended when they find out we're *gasp* healthy, happy, well-adjusted families with children, and don't need 'their' permission to live our lives! How outrageous!

WE HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE! Their approval or disproval is simply a sad statement on themselves. Now as for the fire fighters intro... Love to be there to see that! AND to check out your photos :D
One of my first experiences of "disproval" was a similar situtation. I'm a nurse and went about creating our family via foster care. Our wonderful placement of our then foster daughter was a period of great joy, excitement and anticapation and at times worry. Of course, I had a ton of pictures that I would share as we progressed through the year leading up to her adoption. One day, at the nurses station with a ton of nurses around, one nurse asked if I had any new updated photos of Cheyenne (then 16mo old). "SURE I do!" and as they all crowded to see, one particular nurse got up and briskly and walked away... I would have NEVER guessed but after that less then subtle cue I realized that not all of my coworkers were supportive of our energies to have a family. It was after this event I realized what I would have never imagined. SOME PEOPLE could be disapproving of my efforts to create a loveing and caring home for a child. I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT...and then again my heart at that time was too full of LOVE to see that HATE could actually be anywhere near this blessing from GOD which was transpiring.
Sooooooo, it's just very sad :( and I have no room for that hate... and THAT'S what we are teaching OUR children...!

I hear ya sister,
I too had a negative experience when my partner was pregnant. Someone from our own community, a gay man who is a regular popular performer in Vancouver. I never dreamed that someone from our community would burst my bubble. I ran into him at a Christmas party and we said our usual hellos, I said "Mama's sitting on the couch over there" Thinking he would wave hello, all of a sudden his finger was in my face waving back and forth rambling on how he disapproved and that same sex couples should not be raising children.... I was in disbelief... again, someone from our community who I just assumed would support us. It was sad and really effected me, I was afraid to be so happy incase someone else disapproved. But Im long over it and that person was part of my house cleaning when it came to removing negative and hateful people from my life. :o

 Douglas has gone MIA-I have decided this-get on here girl! WWRD-What would Rosie Do? She has had bad reviews before and looked at them as reasons to keep moving forward. She is a maverick-you must be true to your idol. Get out there and thrill us with your wit. Your time out is over!
Reasons Doug has gone MIA:
* She got a bad review.
* Home sales are down
* she was abducted by alians
* She did not follow the directions on the home perm and her hair is cotton candy.
* He is going to a White party and cannot decide on cotton or linen-still staring at closet
* He was trimming his bush again and the black widow bit him, and he is in anaphalactic shock. Been there-done that.
* His hands stopped working from the bite.
* His bush died
*He joined the cult of the Spider People and is now wearing only webbing.
* She went on a binge-and drank rubbing alchohol and mouth wash like Kitty Dukakis in the 1980's
* He has fallen asleep standing up in front of his closet, still perplexed and holding in his hand -that still works, his dead bush.
* He is studying for his Lesbianetics test-brushing up on golf and pokeher skills-woops-I meant poker-typo:eek:
* He became a right wing religous zellot-Not!
* He went on an archeological dig to find Sodom And Gommorah
* He met a man is is Pretending and reinacting Sodom and Gemmorah.
* Life-time is having a girls movie marathon
* she has fallen in love with me, and can't have me because I love my husband. Her reaction is from watching lifetime and just bieng dropped in cyberspace.
She watched Single white female and is getting extensions and a color job-to match my real hair. Also bulking up on unhealthy food to bulk up to my less than perfect shape.
*she is trying to tie a pillow around her waist with one good hand to match my pooch-Hey I am working on it DOUGLASS!
-These are just some of the reasons I can think of. Please add on to these fellow threaders
Everyone should bombard Douglass with Private messages-give her a big sister shout out.
Come out come out wherever you are..............Papa Jim

Hi everyone <waves vigorously>:D
Wow! One day away and I return to a bunch of posts—many from new posters. Hi Dreameer, Ourtribe, Kimgr, <blows kisses> nice to meet you all and welcome to the Losers Log. This thread is aptly named… Indeed, when someone is compelled to extend an apology for something they wrote on their own thread… BIG LOSER!!! :( The MIA posts are hysterical.
The truth is, I needed to take one day—away from this forum—to recover from the previous days drama… this girl is NOT a drama queen… give me comedy, romance, action; don’t give me drama… well… um… unless it involves Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal making out and jumping off a ridge naked… then I’ll take the drama. Anyway, all is well and the drama is now behind me where it belongs. (Get your minds out of the gutter… I meant in the past… not trying to take advantage of this virginal girl from an opportune position.)
Humm… it looks like the forum discussion took a serious turn in my absence… 4-H lady (henceforth known as the old hag)… was mean to PapaJim… Ourtribe has a disapproving co-worker (I bet that Nurse ate her young)… Kimgr encountered an unpleasant performer in Vancouver... <wonders if it was Cyndi Lauper>. Prejudice is despicable, but I’m fairly certain we all have our own prejudices that we don’t like to talk about. For example: I dislike Bisexuals; my parents introduced me to one a few weeks ago… so I rode it. Its seat was very uncomfortable… and every time we hit a bump it hurt. Additionally, I found it very difficult to keep my balance and I fell off… twice… I don’t even want to discuss all the crap that gets in your teeth while you ride it… and another thing… huh… um… what? I have misspelled something? Uh… oh… Yes… I see it now… Sorry folks… I meant bicycles… I dislike bicycles… Sorry about that!
I have the website address where R Family is supposed to post the winners of the Caribbean Cruise contest… but there is nothing there. I’ll be sending them a request for the winners list and will post it once I have it.
Final thought: Papajim… thanks for thinking of me… and the sound of hot-shot firemen and their hoses are appealing… but NO MORE imaginary boyfriends for me. I’ll stick with Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) making me his wench on a nightly basis. Now, if I could only get Rosie to stop barging in and throwing him over the balcony…

209 days…
Thanks.

Baroness Jimmima Von Helquim and now Baroness Starlight Saphire,
I think its time to crown Douglas , Doug, Ms D, Ms DeMure,
How about Princess Dancing Queen of Palm Desert, or Queen Iona Bush, ( and not George Dubya) or Dame Anita Mann...... Queen Martina Nevurtaluvya.....
Wendee - what do you have? Maybe we can start rbay.... so we can sell our household belongings so we can continue to cruise and have the lifestyle to which we would like to be accustomed to!

203 days and counting… (I wish February would hurry up and get here already!)
Lance Bass is Gay. For those of you to whom this came as a big surprise, please speak up now… <the sound of crickets echo through the room>
Anita Mann? Anita Mann? Oh… I get it… I need a man. Okay… that part is very true, but I keep trying to tell all of you that I am not a queen. Indeed, I really AM more of a lesbian… (Well… uh… except for the whole not sleeping with women thing). Have I mentioned that long ago I was a law enforcement specialist in the Air Force and a Sergeant? Sure… I’m very gay… and I certainly have tells… but I’m more of a man… (Um… except for the whole sleeping with men thing…) then a woman. With all that being said… I give up! I accept the title that you--PapaJim, 2dads, Kimjr & Crazy Cheryl--have so graciously bestowed upon me (Although it is really the Queen who grants the title) and will henceforth be sometimes known as Dame Anita Mann…. In my head I will translate it into: Damn… I need a man!;)
Honestly, I was very happy with just being an “honorary lesbian.” I don’t even have to study up on women’s golf because I already KNOW women’s golf… I’ve been watching it for years and now I live in Palm Desert… just down the street from Mission Hills where they play the Dinah Shore Tournament every year… and I live right next door to Big Horn where the women play every November. Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, Laura Davies, Michelle Wie, Meg Mallon… I love all those gals.:p
<Yawns loudly> Sorry folks… I’ve had a long day that has stretched into the early morning… Until next time <blows kisses> I bid you adieu. <Raises hand palm forward and slowly turns it side to side—the royal wave>

Well, I suppose you could be a lesbian-disregarding the obvious-I love lesbains-no BS-an dyou know where you stand. I know little about sports, but they love me anyways.
My husband is doing laundry-this means -take everything out of the dryer and throw it on the downstairs table. Then in the morning I will find laundry also in the washer and dryer, that I will have to re-do. Thanks for the help.
We have a party to go to-everyone wants to meet my husband, from the fair board. Since he has never attended a function until now, people were wondering if he was real. Oh, he's real alright! He even made flan for the party- a specialty of my Spanish-Italian mate- another of his specialties is *(&^^** in the &*%$- well, you get the point. Speaking of the point we all know Doug is a man-Anita Mann!

Then if he isn't happy with Dame Anita Mann, then lets re-title him: Sir Anita Mann instead, so either way it's Anita Mann.
Wow another law enforcement specialist in the Air Force and a Sergeant, who has a alter ego. Who would've of thunk that?
Whether it's Dame Anita Mann or Sir Anita Mann, in the end we all think DMuir thread it the most engaging. I can't wait til Feb 2007 to finally meet All the people here on the threads in person, I think Papa Jim is a Hoot and DMuir is a Dear, both of whom I think would be a Joy and Pleasure to be Friends with on or off this Cruise or Forum.
So, now DMuir it's your pick, so pick well. Will it be Dame Anita Mann or Sir Anita Mann, make sure you pick wisely, as this title will carry with through the rest of the Forum and Cruise.
I believe in giving people choices in life. If you feel more comfortable with Sir Anita Mann( Sir I nita Mann) instead of Dame Anita Mann (Dame I nita Mann), then who are we to not to change your title as requested.
Well, I'm off to do some gardening and enjoy the weather here in Sunny Anaheim, California. At least today, it's not as muggy or a scorcher, as it's been for the last Month.

The modern meaning of the word "lesbian" is derived from the Victorian interpretation of the poems of Sappho whose poetry was taken to mean sexual rather than emotional or platonic love between her and other women. Because of this association, Lesbos and especially the town of Eressos, the birthplace of Sappho, are visited frequently by lesbian tourists to this day. (Wikepedia, 2006)
What if we title her/him either Dame Anita Mann of Lesbos or Sir Anita Mann of Lesbos.....

Okay… it’s pretty much 50/50… so I guess there is enough girl in this boy to assume the title of Dame. Besides, I would be out of place hanging out with a bunch of Baronesses if I were a Sir. (and I kinda’ sorta’ forgot to mention the Project Runway is my favorite show—such a girl!) :p I look forward to my coronation on the cruise. Thank you all very much for the honor you have bestowed upon me.
Today is absolutely beautiful. The temperature is only 102 degrees (which is fantastic for July by Palm Desert standards) and I’m looking outside… the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the wind-chimes are chiming, the 300 pound next door neighbor is working in his yard shirtless…**choke… cough… sputter… hiss** <stumbles around knocking things over> my eyes… my eyes… I can’t see…
<Puts eye drops in> ;) Did I say beautiful? Make that… satisfactory… it is a satisfactory day…
Just think… it’s almost August… only six and a half months until the cruise.

Dame Kimara said not to look at such things-they are not up to the Elizabeathen traditions that we try to uphold. Forgive me Kimara-you now how I am with the forbidden.

I will still have pretty hair, even under the veil-the key-good products-and a fabu colorist. I will dress down as not to take away from the coronation and our newest member of the Monarchy-Dame Anita Mann of Lesbos.
Heads up-We need a loud gal to shout out here ye here ye from the upper deck for the opening of the ceremony-would there be a gal willing to do this on the Feb. trip? It is only appropriate to have a lesbian to indoctronate Anitas title into Lesbos.:)

Seven possible reasons why Snowhite is MIA:
1. She sang “Someday My Prince Will Come" and he did. She is now in therapy.
2. She intentionally ate the poison apple after her prince came.
3. She took the medication that Doc prescribed to her and she is now Dopey.
4. She is being Bashful.
5. She is Grumpy
6. The meds “prescribed” by Doc have kicked in and she is now Sleepy.
7. The Dwarfs took advantage of her medicated state and now refer to her as the “High-Ho.”

Will someone call [the] concierge!
Just a thought, if you are near the Owners Suite, then most likely you are near Rosie and Family, ....
You’re kidding me with this right Kim? There are four owners suites—two located on Deck 9 and two located on Deck 10. They are 790 square feet and are certainly nice enough… but you won’t find Rosie anywhere near us common folk—despite our royal titles—because I’m fairly certain she will be in what I now refer to as “The Palaces.” (There are two).
Picture it… Deck 14… A spectacular 5,750 sq ft Garden Villa complete with a living room, a dining room and three separate bedrooms, each with a king or queen-size bed and a private luxury bath. One bedroom also features a full bath and separate shower. There is Butler service and a concierge available. Additionally, they have access to the exclusive concierge lounge on Deck 15 and they have their own private courtyard area with pool, hot tub and sundeck.
Okay, First off… I had to look up the word “concierge.” I knew it was French… but I didn’t know its Etymology came from a Latin alteration: conserves: meaning fellow slave. Anyway, I just have to do the math here… let’s see now… 5,750 sq ft divided by… uh huh… okay… let me carry that over… then I drop the remainder… or do I add the remainder?... um… <gets out calculator> DONE! My HOME would fit into that villa 4.27 times. Let me see now... um... slaves... 4.27 times bigger then my own home... I'm feeling way out of place here.
So, no… this newly appointed Dame will not be anywhere near her royal highness--this sounds snooty...We LOVE Rosie... she really is our queen--I’ll be in my very quaint ocean-view with balcony and I’ll be very happy to be there… and to those of you occupying “inside” staterooms near my stateroom… you will be more than welcome to come sit with me on the balcony… After all, happiness is where we choose to find it.

Everyone is exhausted from all of emotional HIGHS that we've all been on since the news.

Evening Baroness Von Helquim, and Dame Anita Mann,
What a day it has been out on the West Coast for us. I've had to hit that medicated Sherry about 30 x's so far. Once I found out the Joyful news of the day, I had to take few minutes away from pt's and re-compose myself. I couldn't help but cry tears of Joy of the Wonderful blessing that was bestoed on me, my beloved and our 2 princes.
Everyone is exhausted from all of emotional HIGHS that we've all been on since the news.
Off to take a few more snips from the sherry and then into a nice long hot bath and then ???
 :D woowee-you are the 100th thread on club D

You are all a hoot.....:D Rosie would be crazy not to snatch the lot of you all up for her new comedy show....that would mean all of you very witty people would cruise every cruise with Rosie all expenses paid and you would have your very own palace on deck 15... may the comedy begin!
I wish I had met you all on the Alaskan cruise, I was on deck 9 with a balcony with my fair maiden and I sure do wish I was cruising with all this royalty in February. Our next rfamily cruise will hopefully be when we can hula in Hawaii.
I know where I can be entertained for the next six months and not have to go far from home. Thank you Rosie's subjects for the laughs.:p I bid you a good night.;)
P.S. Anita Mann, you are in for the most enjoyable experience of your life, you will never regret the week you spend with some the most heart warming people you have every met. BIG BIG HEARTS ON THIS BOAT BABY;) and to think I was in a straight relationship for 25 years, hello finally woke up and got it right. Back in October Colleen told me "your home now", those three words had a huge effect on me, thank you Colleen. Happy sailing to all of you!!

Harte, sorry we didn’t meet also, the Baroness and I kept a low profile, and we insisted that the red carpets not be rolled out as we didn’t want to steal from any of the celebrities thunder. However, Bareness almost blew it with her Don’t Cry for me Argentina while loading in Ketchupcan.. The crowds roared…..
I unfortunately will not be travelling with the rest of the royalty in February, (fraid to fly and Vancouver to Miami is a LONG road trip!)
I just had a thought…. How will we get a horse and carriage on the ship for the coronation? I think they have a no pet’s policy??
DizzyD, I hope this thread will continue to make you laugh. Anita Mann has done a great job creating his very funny losers log. I have a lottery ticket for 14 Million for tomorrow night, I will make sure should I win that you and your family will be going on a cruise…

:D Hello all readers and Daughters of Eve. I must address certain things.
2 Dads: So happy -still realing in your excitement.:D
Ms. Snow: So glad you came back-did you kick the witch in her $%#@^&!!!
**** Anita: well......................................
Dame Kimara: We must get you over your fear of flying have the doctor give you a mild sedative. I had to fly after 911 with visitations to California for Steven. I was very nervous. By the time I got off the plane I could not identify my luggage.
This morning I was on the veranda of my house looking at the lake with a cup of Kona.
Suddenly the sherriff rode past (a hotty) locked eyes with me , smiled, and waved. Since I am a victim of my own provacative beauty I interpreted this as:
1.) He saw me last night running naked in the rain storm-instead of arresting me- he also is enamored by me and my crown jewells, which I always have on me.
2.) He realy wants to put his big gun in my hoalster:eek:
3.) He knows how to rapid fire and seeing me makes him obsess over it.
4.) He had a poster of me growing up-when I modeled-and he is reliving his teen fantasy.
5.) He desires a mature woman for role play.

201 days and counting…
It is August! Only 6 ½ months until the festivities begin…. Hooray! <jumps for joy>
I welcome Jan V, Harte, DizzyD & Denise’s Sweetheart to the Losers Log. <blows kisses>:p
You know I'm on deck 9 and you don't invite me in for a glass of iced tap water!!! If I were younger, still working the runway in Milan-I would have your head with my shoes-STRANGERS SHE INVITES! -Pauses to throw crystal candy dish through television-spouts vivid profanity-!!!!
Oh, my goodness Papa Jim, <clutches the pearls> I’ve never seen such a fit of pique! Of course you are invited. Indeed, you are welcome to join me on the veranda for tea and crumpets at 2:00pm daily; however, should a suitor come calling during such time, I will have to gently escort you over the balcony. After all, I wouldn’t want my suitors to get the wrong idea and I need not remind you that you are a married man. The last thing that this Dame needs is a jealous husband chasing her with a butcher knife… again. Besides, as a Dame and Baroness, our reputations would be debilitated by such a scandal.
As a newly appointed Dame, I have been asked—or, rather, I have volunteered—to replace Dame Judi Dench (who failed to appear) in the off-the-D-list sex video with Kathy Griffin. I promise, that as a Dame, it will be tasteful and eloquent. ;) Please refer to the website: www.offthedlist.com and review the message boards for all posts by “Douglas” (I was the first in all categories) for further information.

Dame Kimara,
Here's crossing the fingers and all the toes too, for your lottery ticket tomorrow night, LOL. My son is such a hoot too. He is 13. He is of mixed heritage and is a competition dancer and as he says "is in touch with his femine side." He just came out of one of the rooms where he was looking through an unpacked box (from our recent divorce) he was dressed with a masectomy bra and falsie and a scarf around his neck singing "I feel like a woman" coming down the hallway" I thought I would roll out of this chair and pee my pants LOL. He is too much. He was sooo disappointed when we didn't when the cruise, but it just make him run and put some more change in the cruise jar! Thanks for the welcome Dame Anita Mann! TA TA

Douglas...Dame A M, I so look forward each day to your posts! Don't feel obligated to write every day, however if you don't the mounties will be out searching for you I'm sure! (yes, we will call them in from Canada if we have to!)
Anyway, about me....the luggage saga continues...still haven't received the bag and I call today and talk to 'miss thing' at the airlines. "Oh, did you want us to express this to you? We weren't sure"...um, well...unless you SEND ME A ROUND TRIP TICKET TO BOSTON...how else am I going to get it?? Honestly..some people and their brains!
Well, since I didn't win the cruise (or ANYTHING), I guess the garage sale is still on! Keep your calendars open and bring your quarters and dollars 3rd weekend in November :)

Here we are......
I have posted on this site a few times and my partner is the one who won the cruise. So she and I and our four kids will be off for some fun in the sun in Feb.
We are very excited and still a little freaked out about the whole thing. I know everytime someone wins something big they say "I have never won anything before in my life" and for us it is true too. A few bucks here and there on a scratch-off lottery ticket, but nothing like this.
So besides being excited and freaked out we are very grateful for this amazing opportunity. My only wish is that is wasn't 6 months away - waiting is always the hardest part.

Welcome to the "losers log" Michelle and Christina. Hey... wait a minute... you two are "winners"... so what in the heck are you doing here? :D Congratulations on your win and I look forward to meeting you all the on the cruise.
Um... I don't want to bring around a cloud and rain on your parade... (Yes, there is now a Streisand tune playing in my head) but... uh... I saved my print-out of the "official rules" and it says that the grand prize is a family vacation for... um... four. Douglas,
Thank you for the good wishes. I wish I had printed out a copy of the rules because I have SO many questions. If had ever thought for a minute that we could actually win I probably would have printed them out :)
I haven't talked to anyone from R Family yet so I have no idea what the process will be but I'm sure we will just have to pay for the 2 extra kids ourselves. And paying for 2 is going to be alot easier than paying for 6 :D
It is still all kind of unreal right now. I can't quite get my head around it yet. I have been a regular visitor to this site for almost a year. Reading post after post about all the wonderful experiences people have had on these cruises it will be so exciting to go on one ourselves.
I look forward to meeting you and many other families in February.

Baroness, baroness, Baroness.... you are so modest, you know that the avatar picture was not taken in the 90's, it was taken on the Alaska cruise outside of the Spinnaker Lounge just before closing time!
(Tells real story behind picture)
It was late one night in the Spinnaker Lounge, all the dancing boys were out showing us their stuff. Engaged in a modern dance move, Baroness and her new friend Stacy accidently burnt a Romanian Sailors pants with a cigarette.... Sparks flew as the pants were engulfed in flames. (No Romanian Sailors were hurt in the making of this story)
Being the kind soul that the Baroness is and seeing a perfect opportunity to show off her body she offered her pants to the Romanian Sailor... (luckily she had on clean tighty whities)
The Baroness was then thrown out of the Spinnaker Lounge as there is a no pants no service policy... hence the picture in the avatar, snapped while she was trying to offer her shirt as well.
(Portions of this story were changed to protect the innocent, parts of this story are true...):p

I spoke to Colleen at R Family this morning and we are all set for the cruise in Feb. The shock is starting to wear off and now we are really getting excited. I don't know how we're going to stand the six month wait.
Since the prize was a cruise for 4 and we are a family of 6 I was fully prepared to have to pay for the additional kids, but thanks to the fabulous people at R Family all we have to pay for is our own airfare:D :D
Airfare from Idaho to Miami is going to be ridiculously expensive, but being able to go on this cruise is worth it.

Why, Mrs. Robinson… um… err… I mean… Papa Jim… You’re trying to seduce me! (Posting a provocative photo like that) <Papa Jim laughs a sinister, yet seductive laugh> Aren’t you? Fortunately, I’ve seen “The Graduate” and I know that things turn out badly… I am certain that Rosie would not approve. Indeed, she made a “guest appearance” on Ally McBeal as a therapist when Ally kissed Billy despite the fact Billy was married, and she was NONE to happy about it. You are a bad, dirty, MARRIED girl! (Baroness indeed!) Our daily meeting for “Tea and crumpets” must now include a chaperone.
Now, Baily… on the other hand… <Bats eyes at Baily>… Single… handsome… a definite “suitor” possibility… <gives Baily the “come hither” look… which he mistakes for a seizure… Baily calls 911> and I welcome him to the Losers Log.:D
I would personally like to extend a big “Good for you” to R Family for allowing Michelle & Christina—the winners of the Cruise Contest—to bring their entire brood—a family of 6 instead of 4—on the Caribbean Cruise. I look forward to meeting them all and will definitely be buying the two “moms” a drink! (I’m sure they can use one… they’ve got four kids… wholly moly!)
This is a great week for the forum: Jeff & Darrell are getting another child, Michelle & Christina won the Caribbean Cruise Contest, and Papa Jim is a Hunk… um… I mean… my heart went ker-plunk… Uh… no… um… I mean… no ship sunk… yeah… that’s what I meant… no ship sunk!:p

My, my, my
I don't get on the forum for a couple of days and it is filled with the most wonderful news.
Jeff and Darrell...what a blessing for your family a new baby girl, she will have her daddies tied around her fingers in no time. Prepare yourselves for some gray hair....at around age 14 ( and that is probably a pipe dream, more like 12) it will be boys....boys....boys or maybe girles... wait till she drives, plan on some sleepless nights. To have two older brothers she is truely a princess. You have been blessed with three wonderful children. The gods are smiling down on you.
2momsand4kids....four blessings for you, and the gods keep on smiling..:) yes you are in for a hum-dinger of times also. My son will be 30 August 20th and my daughter is 27 and where those years went is beyond me. All of you with children enjoy every minute and embrace what they will give back to you...life is a fast ride. Enjoy the cruise you won, you all will have the time of your life.
Baroness Von Helquim....you are killing me! I nearly went into a faint when I saw your new picture. . where are my smelling salts...you may want to consider boxers....you will have all your subjects lusting for you..mercy, mercy!!! Maybe I am just having a hot flash!
Antia Mann.....Douglas.... you started this forum with your wit and humor and as a added bonus I posted which I maybe did once before I went to Alaska....I missed out on meeting some wonderful people... Antia Mann you don't "need a man" not when you have all the forum as your friends....so maybe if you all do a 2008 cruise we will meet than. None of us are losers dearhearts, if you have your health, family, friends and rfamily forum than life is just peachy..... BUT I am human I wanted to win the free cruise, now I have to wait..not fair..not fair at all. <oh stop the whining> < NO I want to whine, I want to win something and I don't want it to be a tote>...I want it to be big ,as big as what appears to be in Baroness briefs... I told you Baroness to wear boxers, look where you made my mind go...I am not that kind of lady;) I need to go to bed this getting to be just a little too much for me...nighty night to you all sweet dreams!

 You threaders make me blush-thanks for the compliments however-the years have taken their toll-from fit to flab-form north to south-a raft deployed. However, I am motivated to get in shape again. And Anita girl your'e pretty-even though you are hiding your eyes behind those (probably $200.00+ sunglasses.) Even though you are a tart. Thhe man is on the thread one day and you already have your scent out:mad: And remember the last time, how things turned out? Oh, I give it to you for voracity girl.
And I told you that I -The Baroness Von Helquim - would teach you the glance of the geisha. Seductive-yes. Vulgar-no. Speaking of vulgar-I checked out the web-site you posted. You are one nasty dirty bi&$%. And strangely I feel closer to ever to you, and then so will Dame Kimara-because we are silly in a raw way.
Speaking of Dame Kimara I got a story for you....Dame Anita Hymen-I mean Manns ears perk up...
Synopsis: Kim comes off the dance floor at the Spinacker...saying I'm gonna kill Stacey. I of coarse asked the question any of you would-"Why?" "See that guy over there that I was dancing with?" "uh-huh-fumbling through my pocket for my eyelash glue-and Anitas Hymen..." Well, she told me that guy had just gotten off of work and wanted to dance with someone so I said-sure I will dance with him...then I proceeded to say-" you just got off of work eh?" (Kim is Canadian-being around her and her wife for 8 days-I still am saying "EH?" at the end of my sentences, eh.) the guy told her that he was not the help on the ship but a passenger...but that time Stacey came around laughing..I'm sorry honey i just felt like messin with you..and tells Kim she loves her..believe us-one could never get mad at Stacey-she made our cruise extra special-Gregg your sister rocks and her friend stacy too-we dig them.-book them a room for feb. they are great for morale-you hear me Gregg-Do you realy read each and everyone of the threads????
Anyways-The gals that won-bravo-you can come to the coranation. I hope a win a lottery and invite wiggly, kimgr, snow, and all the others that can't go in Feb. too. No, I will not pose nude for money ever!I am nothing like Anita-woops- who spilled the beans and franks sister? This is going to be so much fun-who I don't meet in Feb. I will meet again in July. One can never have to many good friends or Jewells-
Well, I must retire. I hope I don't have goofy dreams again. I dreamt I was at a neighbors house in my hometown of youth-we called her Saint Molly and would genuflect behind her and her daughters. She was a very pius woman -yeah one of those..she had no flair-not even in her jeans child. Anyways..in the dream I was asking about how her kids were-like I care in real life. "ARE They nuns?" Then I went out her front door and climbed a hill to find this stunning nubian woman carrying a christmas tree like and Umbrella. I'm having Christmas in August for my kids and I she said..then I woke up because I had to Pee..crazy..eh?
I get to introduce the Hot Shots tommorrow-my slip will accidently on purpose hit the stage floor-I'll kick it off with my sparkly-Minaola Blanicks-onto the startled crowd.
" I got a four alarm forrest fire-who is man enough to put it out?" and Douglas arrests me
And the rest..kabow chickaboom bow.( dirty movie music circa 70's) is history.
Until later-have a great whatever-you decide my lovelies-it's your life. Kabow, chikaboom, bow..)

The Four P’s (Poor vision, Papa Jim, Project Runway & Popcorn)
You would think I would have smelled the smoke prior to the smoke detectors going off, but No! Wait… I’m getting ahead of myself… let me take you back to the beginning.
About a year ago—when I was re-modeling my condo in San Diego to sell it—I realized there was something wrong with the labels and safety instructions that manufacturers put on the products we buy: they had made the writing so small the average consumer couldn’t read it anymore. I need reading glasses? What do you mean? It’s normal for people to lose some vision after the age of forty? Speak for yourself you old coot! Bette Midler? Yes, I'm a Homo, of course I know the song… (From a distance the world looks blue and green, and the snow capped mountains white). <Looks at picture> No, No… it doesn’t! It looks sort of hazy and there are some light grey spots. Poor Vision? Fine… I’ll buy some reading glasses.
One Year Later: “Why, Mrs. Robinson…” I began… Apparently Papa Jim is a hunk… the picture is so small… I can’t really see a **** thing even with the freaking reading glasses on. He looks cute though... I think. People are saying he’s a hunk so I’d better say he’s a hunk… I wouldn’t want to be left out of the conversation and I certainly wouldn’t want to hurt Papa Jims feelings. I’m done with my post… oh; goody… my show is on.
Project Runway… I love, love, love this show. I know absolutely nothing about fashion, but I admire the way these contestants turn basic material into clothing: it’s really artistry, and some of them are such characters. Oh… a commercial… good… I’m hungry… nothing fattening… Popcorn… now… let me see… Shoot! I can’t… where are those freaking reading glasses? Awe… 4:00 is a good time… let me just stick it in the microwave… OH! My show’s back on…
<LOUD sound of two smoke detectors going off> Oh… Crap! <Runs into dining area—smoke billows from the microwave oven—flames erupt inside> Oh, Crap! Oh, Crap! <remembers there is a fire extinguisher in the closet by the front door and runs to that location; grabs it and runs back to microwave, pulling the pin as he runs; opens microwave door and aims hose toward fire—spit*flit*chook* Nothing!> Oh, Crap! Oh, Crap! <Grabs burning bag between index finger and thumb… “Hot… hot… hot” drops it on the carpet> Oh, Crap! Oh, Crap! <Kicks burning bag toward kitchen with bare foot> Ouch! Hot foot! Hot foot! <Runs to kitchen sink… dirty pan; filled with dirty water… “This will work”… dumps dirty water on fire and carpet: fire extinguished> Oh, Crap! Oh, Crap! <Smoke detectors continue to alarm—opens sliding glass door in dining room… smoke streams from the house>
Two Hours Later: Well, I’ve scrubbed the carpet with cleaner and I have vacuumed it twice. I won’t know if there is a stain until it dries. If there is a stain, I’ll try to clean it again... might be a good place for a rug. I hate to say it, but this is really all Papa Jims fault. Indeed, although I have poor vision, if I hadn’t tried to look at Papa Jims photo just before watching Project Runway, I would have found my reading glasses in their usual spot BEFORE I made the popcorn. <Puts on reading glasses and reads new popcorn bag instructions>: “Because microwave ovens vary, the heating may vary between 1 and 4 minutes. Do NOT leave oven unattended while popping corn: too much heating of the corn leads to overheating and the risk of fire.”
Yeah… no Crap!
Landmark day folks… only 199 days until our cruise!
I would say “Woo-Hoo!” But, I’m tired… Yep, I'm too pooped to POP-corn! so I’ll just give it a wew-hew!

Hello Dame Anita,
My name is Pat and I am addicted to Project Runway, even the repeat episodes, sad to say. I love everything about it, the drama, the backstabbing, Tim Gunn slays me. Oh it's just too delicious! Who's your fave this time? I'm partial to Kayne and the little platinum blonde who posed for her own portfolio. That was too adorable.
About the glasses, take a tip from an old nurse-put them on a fancy, beaded(or not) eyeglass necklace-it will be very Dame-like and you won't have anymore mishaps. We want you in one piece for the cruise darling.
Big Lesbian hugs,
Miss Pat

Hi Erik the cutie patootie's Mom,
Yeah, I know, hard to believe due to my lack of sartorial splendor these days, but back in the day I was quite the fashionista. My four younger sisters called me the Queen of accessorizing, nowadays I'm lucky if I remember to put on earrings.:o
The only remaining remnants of the old me are my purse and lipstick, I'll never give those up, lol. Say hello to all from me and DD.

Dear fellow threaders Greetings!
Yes, I didn't post yesterday-now thats a shock-neither did Doug-He is still trying to get the smell out of the house from burnt popcorn, which smells as bad as burning hair.
For the carpet-I recommend a product with oxyaction-spray-dab-redo. If this doesn't work then a throw rug-something in bright colors perhaps. Scenerio: Anita gets board with Jacquard rug with tassles. She has tevo'd every episode of project runway-and decides to make a smart skirt using duct tape-because she has created her own challenge. She looks stunning in it and does yardwork in it-gigantic next door neighbor(refer to previous dmuir postings) tries to climb over his fence for a closer look. Anita is oblivious to her neighbor-jaba the hut-because he has set up a runway on his patio.<BOOM> the fence comes down-Anita screams(still traumatised by the spider incident) and calls 911. Jaba lays in a heap of splintered lumber and thrashes around like a a freshly caught trout. Anita falls for a paramedic, only to find out that he has a wife-who is now stalking her:eek:
Dame Kimara is exhausted from work and exercise. Since she is on a fitness binge with me-she has increased her fiber. She lives in the bathroom now-and the keyboard does not reach to her thrown.
Snow White is off with the dwarfs-she watches project runway and wants Danial Franco from Project Runway to join her entourage.
Me, I am good..thanks for asking. I put in a 12 hr. shift voluntering for our county fair.
I was no where near the livestock tent-thank the stars-I was in with the poultry when a cock got loose and was chasing people( get your mind out of the gutters-it was not mine-I don't have a pet cock-and I am refering to fowl
The hot shots did not show, because they were fighting fires elsewhere. We asked them to come, but they had to work-you mean a few hundred acres you chose over a county fair:mad:
I had to MC yesterday, help judge a salsa dance contest. Decorate a tent for the Chili cook-off-Of coarse they ask the homo-where do you think these pinatas should go. But that time I was hot and tired and wanted to give a suggestion about the pinatas that would have been less than Christian. I also did a free lunchean for the volunteers-which was like feeding the Bulchavics. I had the subs cut up and on plates-a couple people tried grabbing some off of the giant cutting board-and I grabbed one mans wrist as he went for a sandwich. Since he was an older farm person-he looked tough, and smelled like a goat, because he had entered his livestock. For a moment I thought he was going to hit me , but fortunatly I had a big knife in my hand and if needed would have accidently-on purpose cut him. However, he said-showing his tarter stained teeth as I was thinking worse than punching me would have been him trying to kiss me or bieng any closer to my face-yuck!
" I wasn't gonna touch all the sandwiches" " well!" I replied " how do I know that you didn't have your hand up a cows pundala?" He looked at me and grabbed a sandwich and walked away. Right after that a lady snapped" do you have anything but diet soda?" she asked rubbing her double stomach-"Whatever is here is what you get-it is a free lunch, not a specialty joint. " Well, then I will just buy a beer!" "You do that at noon?" she is headed for Betty Ford, I know it.
By the end of the night-I was hit on by 3 older ladies-one being a friends mother who said i was sweet and she could swin in my blue eyes-i thought she said blue thighs-and had to ask her to please repeat herself. I got my butt-pinched by a straight guy in front of his wife as he called me sugar loaf. His wife says he does that to guys he thinks are cute.
Ah, Hello-as a straight gal I would have to wonder if my man were not wanting to play for the same team..it did not phase her-I suppose she just chalked it up to something he does after a couple of beers. Another guy, that I know-married with 3 kids-stands next to me by an outside corner and starts dancing in front of me and close to me-hey, you look real good in that cowboy hat Jimbo-he says dancing still like a straight guy. It actualy made me very uncomfortable since I am married and so is he...I asked him if he had been drinking. He siad nervously no..why?" I said are you seeing what you are doing? He said he was just loosening up a bit" (oh-huh I thought-not on me your'e not-Mr. man!) seeing that he was starting to turn red from embarrasment, and fumbling over his words-i made light of the situation-pretending to be teasing him-' your'e a wild crazy silly cowboy..how is that lovely wife and kids of yours?" I also saw my stylist-(who is a great guy-my husband strongly dislikes him and thinks he is a jerk) he is straight and a fabulous colorist-and introduced me to his fiance who is just a stunning latino lady. Her and I were talking-and she looked at her fiance-my stylist-and said" Honey, can you weave those colors into my hair that are in Jims?" No! If I color your hair one mor etime it will look like a mop!"
I thought I was a hair hopper. I use to be-now I am letting it grow long again since Nov. when I decided I needed a change before the Holidays and had it all wacked off to almost a crew cut-not a good idea. Since then and never again will I cut it short.
Speaking of hair hopping-is this picture a less suductive black and white-no-not elvis-Jimis-with pomade-circa-2000-I always loved his hair-maybe that is why I also like blow out-with Jonathan-the narcisitic one-"your'e hair is just bangin!" And I also like project runway, but slowed down on it when Danial Franco was voted off-I loved his designs-sleek-very House of Channel...Then they kept that Santini thing-I personaly could have made crap like his-and I don't even know how to use anything more complex than a handy stitch.
I think all gays guys like project runway, because as little kids we were fascinated by Bridal gowns and what Jackie Kennedy was wearing-if you were born in the early sixties.
I use to doodle new girl outfits and hair-do's as a kid. My parents were always ridding me about that. You never draw anything like normal boys-like trucks or baseball..your'e always drawing girls in ball gowns-or men with no shirts...and you are all about The Supremes. My parents were then convinced I would marry an exotic woman of color...right church -wrong pewe honey!

I take a couple of days off from the forum to work on the Royal coffer.( So that my princess and I can make both cruises) All hell breaks loose.
Dame Anita almost burns down the Palace.( might I reccomend the already prepared popcorn) might be a little safer. Much less work for a person of your stature!
The Baroness is nearly molested repeatdly by all of the "straight" cowboys at the County Fair. Where was the Royal Guard?
My gosh be carefull we need you all to be SHIP SHAPE for the LOVE BOAT.

I have to be back at the fair grounds in about 6 hrs. so I must get some rest-I have to make pancakes with the christian cowboys-that realy is the name of the group-I hope I don't drop something and say the lords name in vain. They will rope me up and brand me a harlet.
Douglas darling where are you? I think she accidently put the computer in the microwave. Maybe he and dame Kimara are having a triss-sure don't invite the rest of us-wwe wouldn't come anyways:rolleyes:

196 days and counting…
Life has a funny way of sneaking up behind you; tapping you on the shoulder, and then slapping you across the face as you turn around: It serves as a reminder to keep looking forward and to pay attention to what comes across your path. Sometimes we get distracted by that slap across the face and choose the wrong path; so it is up to us individually to find a fork in the road where we can choose a better one.
I was offered a new job which I have accepted: I travel the new path beginning tomorrow; it looks nice from where I’m standing, but there is a hill to climb and I can’t see what lies beyond it: possibly a beautiful meadow; possibly a jagged cliff; possibly something else. Still, I move forward and hope for the best.
Sorry, about my temporary absence: life slapped me across the face and I have been distracted. <Rubs recently slapped cheek>
I managed to salvage the microwave: I took Clorox Clean-Up to it a couple of times and it looks like new… but now it smells like bleach instead of burnt popcorn.
Hi Denise’s Sweetheart (Pat). <Blows kisses> I am happy to find a fellow Project Runway fan. As for my “favorite” this season, <thinks for a moment> I guess I would have to say Bradley: He’s such a nice guy and I really like his designs. I’m not certain if he is the best designer, but he’s the one I would choose to spend time with if given the opportunity. I also love-to-hate Angela: She’s not quite as evil as Santino was last season, but she has her moments. And of course, you’ve got to love Tim “Carry-on” Gunn: He’s a charming man. I think it would be great if R Family could get Tim Gunn and Daniel Vosovic (Season 2 runner-up) on the Caribbean Cruise for a meet and greet like they did with Sharon Gless on the Alaska Cruise.
It’s nice to hear from you again Harte. You’re right… I do not need a man with all the friends I am making on this forum; however, it couldn’t hurt… but maybe I could <smiles a sinister smile> and that could be a good, yet bad thing.;)
I welcome NYLoya (Erik) to the Losers Log… um… of course he didn’t actually say “hi” to me… he was talking to you Pat. Ignored on my own thread! Men… can’t live with em’… <Long Pause> that’s it… End of sentence!
Papa Jim… I’m here girlfriend… just distracted for a couple of days… As I’m certain you are being the hostess for the County Fair… all those Brokeback Cowboys pinching your behind… Don’t pretend that you didn’t enjoy it! I just hope that you didn’t eat the chili in the cook-off… um… letting out a pungent odor every time you are pinched is not sexy… despite Dame Kimara saying otherwise.
Hi Crazy Cheryl… not to worry… I think we are all getting our priorities back in order and all should be well for the Cruise… as long as Papa Jim stops eating the Chili that is!
Tomorrow is a big day for me so I’m certain that I will have a story to tell. My posts will be made later in the day (7:00pm Pacific Time) from here on out, so don’t think I’m missing just because I’m late… I’ll be here… chatting with all of you and dreaming of our upcoming cruise.

:) Hi all Daughters of Eve. Thank the stars the fair is over=I had to empty trash in barrels in this giant dumpster today-and clean tables of beer bottles and funnel cakes and slop in a bun-in the morning returning from a 12 hr. shift-with 4 hours sleep. I proceeded to somehow loose my Prada sunglasses-(remember the ones I wore on the trip Kim?) Gone:mad: I had to do this since contract labor did not show up before Cowboys for Jesus. A church service in a tent filled with beer bottles and sin. The preacher was speaking about..just come and find peace in the Lord-and I am scanning under tables for my glasses, and only thinking will he shut up-I lost my Pradas:eek: From Baroness to barmaid. Anyways, glasses can be replaced. I did have a lot of people come up to me and say-wow-JIm I saw you last night dancing on the tables with Laura shaking your thang-! What thang did they mean?
And asked if I had a bunch to drink. The man that runts the CSU extention said JIm doesn,t drink-he is just a true good spirit and runs with life. I have never been described like that but ok. I dig that.
Speaking of digging things-Don't we all just adore Douglas- I know I do-and so does Dame Kimara( I know these things) I wish him much luck is his new journey-Lets give a love shout out to Anita Girl >>HEY>>>> And I know all your thread fans will slap whoever slapped you in the face with life. **** them to hell-Don't they know you are a Dame-a woman in high standing-how dare they-troll BAs&^%$# from hell!!! You have freinds that you never met yet-do they ?NO? Tell whomever to take a jump in lake F.U.-we support you and your spirit child!
Anyways greetings-And Doug I did like the attention from the cowboys..thats hot! But I wonder if they think I am a trollop or Ho...that they think they can take liberties with me .
I am not a ho-I am just friendly............

Good Evening All
Baroness Von Helquim, I'm gladd that you were able to endure your time at the Fair. It sounded like it was a rip roaring time and from you've said I know you loved it and would do it all over again next year if asked too.
Dame Anita Mann I am so gladd to hear that you are starting a new chapter in your career, I hppe this chapter go along the way you want it too and doesn't turn into a Horror story for you.
We've completed all of the trainings to renew our Foster Care Parent License this weekend, that's why I've been on hiatus from the Royal Court. Jeff is going to turn them in tomorrow and hopefully this week, they will be able to start setting up the date to do the intact briefing. This is the first step to finding out about our Daughter Ashley and where she has come from and what she has gone through. The next step after that is to meet her and then we go from there, if that meeting goes well.
We will keep you posted, as things unveil more in the weeks to come.
My Question for the group is: Any advice for 2 Dads on raising a 13 year old Girl? We've taked to our friends who have raised girls and have gotten some advice, but we want any advice that we can get. What we need is any advice that anyone can give us on raising a girl in today society and what to expect.
I will let you all go for now, and will talk with you all later,

Doug good luck in your new job.
Jim sounds like you had a great time at the fair and loved all the pinching you got.
2 dads, I am not sure I can help but I am a high school teacher and am very close to the kids. Since I teach physical education and a dean the kids talk to me about a lot of personal stuff. I get a whole different perspective then a parent does. I don’t have a teenage girl but sometimes I think seeing it from the kids side helps. I can tell you that girls are very hard and teenagers in general are extremely difficult to deal with. What I can say is do a lot of listening and try and understand stuff from your daughters perspective. If you do have any questions I would be glad to answer. I can also ask my kids at work what they think as well. We have a bit of a different population but kids are kids. I work in NYC in an inner city school which is a bit different from California but any little bit helps.
Good luck and hope you have the tranquilizes ready for the hard days.:D

 I will never do the fair again ever-I will only help with limited activities with 4-H. At least I will go where I am appreciated-thankless volunteer job W/ back-stabbers. I do not like mean people and try to center myself only around nice people. I am not Polyanna, but I like my world to be peaceful and light. I did like my butt pinched-I am thinking Doug is right about the Brokeback cowboys:eek:
Speaking of Anita Mann- I hope you are doing great! I am sending you positive energy and prayers ( same thing)
2 dads-I know nothing about girls except Doug and I are girls. If we do adopt a girl in a sibling group I have female friends that will talk to them about female issues-like the "CURSE" as my mother called it. It was a curse for her children, because we had to deal with her pms!
Dame Beaverhousin-love you girl-I hope all is well in Canuckville.
I am going to a party tonight for a friends birthday-by 11:00 I will be the only one not under the influance of something-hey, I am not throwin stones-I just will be the one that wakes up in my own bed with a clear head in the morning-I need it I am busy, busy ,busy...And not feelin lke hammered dog poop the next day is always cool.
Speaking of dogs-my dogs puppies are getting big-only 2 weeks old and so cute. I can hold them now without her trying to bite me. Their names are Lilo and Stitch-compliments of my son.
Gotta go busy day-Hi to all-kisses-hope everyone had a great day!
Baroness Von Helquim
I forgot to give a shout out to dreamer-hey girls! and Snow white -waz up? Need to eat a turkey enchilada in white cheese sauce-yummy-homemade-I love to cook-but, my husband made my recipe for last night, because he wanted me to nap-what a guy!

Hello to all of the Royal Order:
Dame Anita much success on your new career adventure. Baroness so sorry to hear about your PRADAs. While doing the Lords work Ouuchhh!!
2 Dads. I have a 15 year old princess. Hmmn this will be especially challenging because you havent seen her come into the teen years. Some advice. Rule number one. Pick your battles. There will be days where you want to pull each and every hair out of your head. Hold your ground on things such as respect for herself and the new family. When possible I suggest bending a little. Have a "Family meeting" set some basic rules and guidelines. Such as curfews, company, bedtimes, communication after school. Ask her opinion a lot. Ask her what the rules where like the last place she was and how she felt about them (sorry I keep saying her. I dont have her name. Do you?) I deal with a lot of teenagers besides my own little darling through my non profit organization. They like to be heard. It is important that they believe that they are GROWN UP enough to make their own choices. I am not saying to allow her to make the rules.Communication and trust is Key.You are going to have to wing it so to speak until you have some more of the puzzle of her past to work with.
I love you guys for including in your family a teenager. It so hard for them to find good homes.
BRAVO 2 DADS I SALUTE YOU. APPLAUSE APPLAUSE.

Hi Everyone! <Waves and blows kisses>
Wow! :) What a great first day on the new job. I have absolutely no complaints. I began the day by filling out all the “new employee” paperwork and ended it on a “special project” which consists of auditing 256 Adjustable Rate Mortgage files that may or may not have been done correctly: my first two audits were not. So, this should be a very interesting project—and it may take me a while. The only “funny” thing was that I had to open a new checking account at the bank where I am now working so they could initiate the direct deposit of my paychecks. I suppose it would have been wrong to say, “I’m sorry, I bank somewhere else! Could you deposit my checks there please?”
I would like to thank everyone (2dads, Dreameer, Papa Jim, Crazy Cheryl) for their well-wishes! What a great little support group we have going here. I appreciate the encouragement and I believe this job might be a keeper.:D
Awe… Papa Jim… what happened? It previously sounded like you had a great time at the fair, but now you’re talking about Back-Stabbers and mean people. Who said what to whom? Do you need me to come out there and kiss some butt…. Um… err… I mean kick some butt for you?
Only 195 days until the cruise… I’m not going to mention it to my new employer until November… I’ll have been there 3 months by then and 6 months by the time the cruise takes place so I’ll have a weeks vacation coming to me… it should work out perfectly baring any unforeseen circumstances; however, I will be on that Cruise come hell or high water! Can’t Wait!

Hi All,
I want to first thank Baroness Von Helquim, Dreamerr and Crazy aka Cheryl for the advice that they have offered to us regarding our soon to be daughter Ashley. We have taken some homeschooling Foster Parent Classes that actually deal with Teens and what they go through. We were gladd to hear, is the advice from people who have or are experiencing raising a Teen Girl in today society.
We have now completed all of the paperwork( unless they make us jump through another hoop or cut through more red tape) they should now start setting up the Overview Meeting with her Social Worker, Our Social Worker and Us. This is where they will dicuss all that's known about Ashley and give us hopefully a more detailed history of her and where she's been and what she's been through.
We will keep everyone posted on what comes from that meeting. When we set out on this long road to adopting a Daughter or Kids in general. We both agreed upon that we wanted older kids. As to a teenager, we knew that with alot of love, guidance, communication and understanding we could still have a wonderful and loving young adult. Who will and can go on to be whatever they wanted to be in life.
On another note: Dame Anita Mann, how did your first day go with the new path that you've undertaken with your career?
Baroness Von Helquim: It's a shame about your Prada glasses, aint that a kick in the royal bloomers, but look on the bright side they are replaceable. It sounds like you barely survied doing the Lords work no less, what a shame pitty pitty pitty.
Well off to give the royal beast his daily exercise and Mine.

:D Douglas -it sounds like you are doing very well, indeed. You have all our support on the thread and if any one rattles your cage, we are here to ring thier necks. How violant I have become since becoming a militant lesbian-whats next? A cage fight match? Flannel and prison tats? A Mullet? A bad home perm? Dear God, has it come to that. Ok Anita-I will just hit them with my Prada clutch filled with spare coins.
2Dads-bless you-you guys have a big heart-may it be blessed.
Crazy Cheryl-I lost Prada for the Lord-That is the least I could do, after he has blessed me so much. A great husband who loves me and thinks I am beautiful. A son that adores and loves me. And new children in our near future to enhance our forever family.
Plus we are financialy sound in in good health-life is great for me. I am blessed.
As for the fair board-I am done with my 3 year contract of unpaid torture. Yes, I did a good job-and so did the others on the board. However a couple people on the board make it hard for others. I even was confrontational with one-speaking my truth-and chastising her for talking behind everyones back. This one woman has a very distrustful spirit-I would not choose to be her friend-bad energy. I told her that she had an inflated sense of self importance-and was one of the most debasing people I have ever met. I also told her to tell her story walking, because I was disinterested in her lame apologies. However, thier were some great people on the board whom I became good friends with. They were the silver lining in the frustration.
I went to the party last night and will write about that experience later, because I have things to do-it was a hoot-and I don't want this thread to turn into another mini novel ( a novela) for all my spanish speaking gals out in the kingdom.
Have a great day The Baroness Von Helquim

A Hearty Hello to the Royal Clan,
How was everyones day? Dame Anita I hope that after day two of the new career that the Love affair is still on. My FAB 2 Dads I hope that all is going well and you will be able bring ASHLY home soon!
Baroness How was the party. DO TELL!!
I have to say it was a little hectic here today around the old Palace.
The Dressmaker called to inform us that the Princesses Sweetsixteen gown would be shipped on September 30th. OOPS !! That is the day that she will be presented. Needless to say the princess was quite distraught. Off to Davids Bridal we go for an Emergency fitting. Do you have an appiontment? (Says the very tired obviously overworked lady at the desk) No I answer as I brush past her with Princess on a mission in tow, What I have is Fashion Emergency.
The first gown she tried on was it. Thank God for Oleg Cassini.A few minor adjustments from the Royal seamstress and the princess will be presented on time and in a perfectly matched Tiara. The Royal chariot is not feeling well and is at the Docters. She might end up in the old charriots home tommorrow. Being MOM to a princess is a very hard job.
How many days til the cruise. I am wiped out. Throwing a party for a princess is very hard work. Caterers on Tuesday. Invitations out on Saturday.Just think I get to do this at least 3 more times. High School,College and Wedding.
Hope you all had an easier day.

Hello All! I sure have missed you...did you miss me? Hmmm?? Of course you didn't even know I was gone did you :)
Anyway...got all caught up reading the posts and I've got a couple things to say. First, the luggage was in excellent condition and the stinky clothes ALL went into the washer! Should have checked the pockets of the clothes more, as chapsticks and phone #'s also took a bath...oops! Anyway, we are very happy to have my sons clothes return along with his souvenir purchases. Next, Doug..I also wish you much success in your new working 'adventure'. I'm sure MANY of us have traveled that path of decisions and changes and it can be such a challenge. I am with you on positive thoughts and hope all works out wonderfully. Jim, oh my gosh! Did you know I love ya?! You've got the kindest heart...don't let anyone tell you otherwise (they aren't, are they?). Look at you. So kind, giving, loving, generous...I just think you are super duper and 3 years - oh my gosh my friend! Perhaps take that much needed break from the 'fair' and go out there and find something else. You would be cheating others the opportunity of meeting such a spectacular baroness and kind spirit! Sigh. Jeff & Darrell ..... advise to raise a 13 year old teenage girl? You've got to be kidding! There is really nothing else to be said except listening to them and the other things that have been shared. Being raised in a family of MANY girls it was H*** at 'that time of the month' running rampant around the house. Just count to 10 and grin. Mostly, just as the beetles have said, 'all you need is love'. If a person is shown with words AND actions that they are loved and listened to and made to feel important for their own self worth than she will grow up to be that respectable adult as you desire for her to become. I am just so impressed with your love and gift for her! It makes my heart so warm to know you are out there with the THOUSANDS of others like you who have it in them to just give and let love win! I applaud you my thread friends! There is so much love in here...I think I should just go eat some chocolate and drink some champagne to celebrate! Oh, that's right...I'm doing a silly "eating healthy and exercising" thing. Rats! Oh well...an apple will do. Bye for now! Hope you all are having a great day

<Yawns> Good Morning Everyone!
Its 6:30 in the morning here… Sorry I didn’t post last night but I was sooooooo tired; I audited 52 “notes” yesterday… I couldn’t even see straight… (Um… not that I could ever see straight…) I mean… I couldn’t even see gaily forward…
Snowhite! <Waves> Hi Babe! Good Fairy? I thought that I was the good fairy! Or do you guys think Papa Jim is the Good Fairy? ‘Cause really… Papa Jim… he’s a Bad Fairy… a Bad, Bad, Fairy. He thinks all lesbians have mullets and prison tattoos… and we all know it’s really about 50/50!:p
Hi Wendee! Thanks for the Well-Wishes… everything looks good so far!:)
Crazy Cheryl: 193 days left until the Cruise! Bring your “princess” and we’ll have her join our Royal Court… but, uh… Papa Jim may want to borrow her gown.
2 Dads… keep us posted! My best thoughts are with you!
Papa Jim… not only are you a hair hopper, but you’re a photo flopper too! Indeed, you change photos more often then I change my underwear! <the entire room lets out a collective "Ewwwwwwww!"> Yes, you’re gorgeous… Yes, you look fabulous… but being pretty and funny isn’t everything … (Shhhhh… yes it is… but I don’t want to make the unattractive and dull people without any “flair” feel bad… it’ll be our little secret… don’t tell anyone!):p
I've got to get ready for work folks. I wish you all the best until next time…

:D Hi all Daughters of Eve!
Well, things are comming back to normal-I had a busy catch up day-and today is phase 2. I had to replace my glasses-they are prescription sun glasses-and I went back and forth with the optamologist-we have those ones-now we don't -consistant phonecalls-I think it is straightened out now. I know I will go to pick them up and I will have old lady cat glasses. I also have to go to the CSU extension office to submit a bill for the cash I forked out for crap for the fair. They better pay me or I will have to throw a brick through the window.
Crazy: Thank God for Oleg Cassini indeed-He dressed Jackie Kennedy you know-so why not your princess. A debutante ball-how glorious. When I came out to my parents at age 20, I had a poor reception. My mother threw herself on the floor and said" Oh Jesus, take me now!
Wendee-Thank the stars your luggage has been returned. I cannot imagine the smell when you opened it up. Kind of like exuming a tomb-barf.....Thank goodness the chap stick did not make it to the dryer-did that before-and ruined clothes..dag nammit!
Also-I love you too girl-back at you with the kind and sweet factor. Loved talking hard core trash on the boat. You are a hoot!
Doug-You need to stop-are you not the cutest? I think so! Even though you can't make popcorn or sew..... but your looks combined with your personality are winners.
Oh-btw-boxers or briefs? I prefer briefs, because I need support to hold back the monster:eek: I am not pretty anymore either-I have gotten chunky-but am working on it.
If I had a makeup artist-good lighting -and an excellent photographer with me at all times, then I could create an illusion all the time. People in person never look as good as the photos-except if you are Johnny Depp-who is always yummy. I know, he is your man-and I will stay away.
I will write about the party later-since I cannot get a moment of peace at this point-
Honey..have you seen the vacuum cleaner? Papa, I am hungry-can you make me Micky mouse pancakes-Phone ringing...Do I not get one f'ing moment except when everyone is in bed. The answer is no! Pretty girl -ugly story.
I was refering to militant dykes in my previous posts. None of which I hang out with-only the creme de la creme of lesbians share my company. I know nothing about sports or fighting-and they scare me if they are too rough and tumble, like my sinister-in-law, who is 300 lbs of loose cannon-I goota go my husband is complaining about the vacuum not working right-Jesus wept!

Doug- Oh-btw-boxers or briefs? I prefer briefs, because I need support to hold back the monster
Both! I wear boxer-briefs because I like to keep Richard Nixon high and dry rather then hangin' and swangin! :D
Speaking of Briefs... has anyone else noticed the photo in which Gregg is wearing the EXACT same apple costume as in the Fruit-of-the-loom commercials. Do you think it's Gregg in those commercials? If it is... wouldn't it be fruit IN the loom?

Hi to all of you queens, princesses, dames and baronesses – royal courts and beaver clans!! Did I forget anyone? :D
My wife and our son were on the inaugural cruise and look so forward to our second in February.
Dame Anita – Welcome to R Family, honey. You will soon be a part of an amazing vacation full of love and amazing families. My hope for you is that R Family invites JD…ahhhh, to be a wench for a night!! Good luck with the job – thankfully, you aren’t into culinary arts or pest control…hee hee
Gotta say to Papa…and, I am in a midwestern mood…you may have to teach me the geisha glance!!
When you told your story of doing laundry, broken vacuum cleaners, whiney husbands, it reminded me of this….I am generally a calm, laid back kinda gal who takes pride in her role as a wife and mother. HOWEVER, I did laundry the other day, specifically bathroom towels.
Later, my wife said to me with a smirky a** grin, “Where was my towel this morning…<yip, yip, yip>…I want a towel hanging on the rack every morning!”
Whoa….blood starts boiling, face flushes, temples flare, teeth grind.
And my sassy a** response, “Honey, you can get the towel out of the linen closet yourself…reach up, pull down <she gestures arms up to sky and down to earth>…it’s really simple!”
What I should have said was, “Who the ^%$* do you think I am, your maid? YOU wash your own #$@%! towels, YOU cook your own @#$%&! messy eggs, YOU clean your own !@#$* dishes. I am NOT, nor will I EVER be, anyone’s wifey!! Now, let ME tell YOU something, HONEY!! After I grab a latte, I am going to get a mani and pedi. You would be very wise to make a quick pit-stop at Cartier on the way home tomorrow and….oh…leave the @#$$%&! cash for the courtyard villa on the buffet!” Yeah, that is what I should have said….deep breath…tips a glass of wine and digresses.
2Dads – Utmost congratulations on the adoption of your new daughter…only advice…watch for frequent outbursts and handle with care!!
To all the posters…looking forward to meeting you in February!
K&T Cali

:D Hi Royal Watchers and All daughters of Eve! Finaly some peace in the morning. Husband is at work-son is sleeping-my time.So I take this break in solice to post. And then my day begins.
Since my husband is off on Wed. he does projects around the house, and does them well. However..do you think he could put his tools away? When he does something it is like a treasure hunt picking stuff up afterwards. Then when he looks for something-Did you see my hammer? My drill bits? < snappishly I say-In your toolbox..the one that says Butch on it...! I don't think you need to leave your sh#$ on the bannister-the china hutch-table-next to microwave etc...wherever the fu*& it lands! Then he tells me with an amourous way " I got a tool for you baby..." -oh, shut up-I am so p.o d that I wouldn't touch your hammer:eek:
The vacuum incident was resolved-empty it-and clean the filter I snapped! Well, you are the one that vacuums all the time..he says..I would think that you would have it emptied (steam pours out of the top of my head) I look at him and say..yes, I get such joy from picking up after you 2..our son interjects and says " Are we savages Papa?" I want to laugh but don't...I proceed to tell my husband..Why don't you shove a broom up my %$# and I will sweep the floor as I walk about:eek:
To calm myself, I did erands-first stop the salon. I am greeted by my straight stylist who always calls me sugar..I get my hair textured..and he refuses to dye it because..
1>I was a walk-in. 2.) He said I had to wait because any more color would destroy my hair-and I did not want to look like the other fry heads in this town!
I also met a man in the salon from Greece-even though he is married, I can tell that he is on the down low-I did not dare tie my shoe-because you know-kabow chickaboom bow. (70's porn music)
Doug-you know your shame..you swanger and dangler. I hope you are well and doing great-I am praying for the best for you-between mediations with my husband, and drawing him a map to the fu#$&*$ dishwasher!
I am glad that other stay at home parents share my frustrations and siethe at their mates.Even though we love them-they are a caution! I hope that everyone has a great day, and I promise to write about the party later-which I have been saying for what 2 days?
have a great day!
Beaver Clan( Nthemoment) thats a great onee-do you have to be Canadian-or have your own beaver?
Douglas-Why do you call your thang Richard Nixon????

Wendy I am so glad to hear that your keepsakes along with the Stinky clothes were returned safe and sound. Dame Anita you have been quiet. I hope your not in the kitchen !. Hi my Fav two Dads. Wadyphoto so whats the verdict? I am praying for you girls. Snowwhite and Cali hey :)
I hope that I didnt forget anyone.
Today was very busy in the Kingdom. I have been swept off my feet. Literaly.
NO NO not by a beautiful woman. I have plebitis in my ankle.
So off I go to my 9:30 grant meeting ( in pursuit of funding for my not for profit for 2007) hopping. Late of course !
Had to take the iron horse. Uggh. The chariot is still in the stable she needs an operation not a bandaid as I had hoped.Argg
Meeting goes well. They would like what would take about a week to produce of documentation, by the end of the day.
The doctor would like me to elevate my foot for a minimum of two days.
I dont think so Doc. Who is going to run the show ?
Alas though when you put it all in proper prespective .
The Princess is in her room safe and sound.
She has finished her Invitation format. I have only been asking for two weeks for it.
I should feel very honored that she was able to squeeze it into her schedule
It is very hard to get put on a teenage Princesses calender.
Strap in my fav 2Dads you are in for bumpy ride.
A` little stressed I still am blessed.
Dame Anita give me the count. It soothes my wounds. The best part is we dont have to start counting from 300 something.

Good Evening Daughters of Eve and Sons of Adam,
We seem to be in a holding pattern between our Social Worker and Ashley's Social Worker. Ours keeps telling us he's been leaving messages for her worker, but hasn't gotten a call back from her yet ( Our worst fear is that she's been already placed with someone else and they just don't know how to tell us :( ). What we do know is that her picture has come down off of the multiple websites that we had seen it on before. We are hoping that this is good sign.
Us and the boys are a bunch of nerves, as we are playing the waiting game, and some of us don't like to wait. You guessed correctly..... namely the Baroness Starlight Saphire. Darn, where is the Royal Spirits when a gal needs them?
We will keep the Royal Court abressed on any devolpments and events in the waiting game we call " The Road to Adoption, not for the Faint of Heart".
On a more cheerful note, I believe we are at 192 days til we set sail for Paradise.

Douglas-Why do you call your thang Richard Nixon????
Um… okay, you asked for it! I named my thang what I did because when Richard Nixon—whom I loathed—died, I thought to myself, “I guess it’s true… there really is nothing better then a Stiff Dick!” That’s how it got its name.:p
<Forum moderators Gregg, Kelly, Colleen and Jackie shake their fingers and yell, “Oh, Douglas… you’ve gone too far… people are leaving… people… you’ve offended… you’ve got to be stopped!”>
<Douglas Begs> No! No… please don’t kick me out of the forum… I’ll be good from now on. <Crosses fingers behind back and winks at the thread readers.>;)
Oh, get this everyone… I am being “dissed” by the two Lesbians from the All Aboard Documentary. Do you remember when I first started this thread? On July 17th I wrote:
“I just love the two lesbians—can’t remember their names, sorry—who were trying to have a child of their own. I was yelling at the TV... I’ll donate my sperm for you! I think they still swim… maybe not as fast and vigorously as they used to… but what they lack in strength they make up for in stamina.”
Well… when I got home tonight I was farting around and reading some of the other threads when I found them. They use the moniker tryn2bmoms… and they identified themselves as the two from the documentary. So, there they were… The two Lesbians who were part of what made me want to come on this cruise… and do they ever stop in here and give me a “howdy” or a “hello?” Nope! Nuthin’! It’s really a shame too because I’ve been saving up my sperm for over a month… Now what am I supposed to do with them? Trust me… those little buggers are ready and willing to go… I guess instead of an ovum they’ll have to settle for a tissue!
<Forum moderators Gregg, Kelly, Colleen and Jackie panic and search for the delete and edit buttons: “Oh, No… now he’s really gone too far… he’s pushed the envelope before, but this time… he’s sent it by U.P.S!>
<Douglas begs> No! No… I promise… that was the last one… <mumbles under his breath—today!>
It was another fantastic day on the new job. I feel very fortunate.
Crazy Cheryl… here ya’ go babe…
192 days and counting… I still can’t wait! Every day I look more and more forward to meeting all of you…

 Anita-I have mentioned nthemoment and KT&CAli-in private messages and on the post-( Kicks Anita with her Jimmy Cho pumps in her lilly:eek: ) Your'e the one-this is your thread Ms. Thang-or should I say Ms. Nixon?
The party: It was a blast and after a few days lost in translation I am sure. I met people that were very cool. A man 2x married-a neighbor-who's ex-wifes are lesbians. As the night progressed and he consumed wine in mass quantities he got mega nelly-makes me wonder. He's kinda grungy-no waxing for him-barf. Another guy there-I thought-and wrongly that he was a skinhead, by his appearance. He said that Mel Gibson in brave heart was the best movie ever..any one not in agreement were going to get their clock cleaned. I said clock Anita not $%^#. I have issues with Mel because he is a anti semetic bigot-he made a movie about the lord-did he forget that Jesus was Jewish???
I let that one go....however as the night progressed I realised that he was a trouble tortured soul that could drink anyone under the table. He also seemed to be enamored by me(double barf) because he was trashed and i begged him not to drive-and that I would drive him to his booty call-he went anyway-drove drunk-now that is an idiot for ya! And I was not going to be his booty call-I gave him Anitas #. I also met a quantum physicist-who lived in Haite/Ashbury during the 60"s-he told us all stories of tripping on scrooms-that were hilareous-hey it was a sign of the times-however,I never did scrooms nor would I . As silly as I am-I think that would be a mistake-and It always scared me-drugs are not for this gal. The birthday boy stood off the railing of his deck and urinated-his wife was livid-I told her at least he did not deficate..a girl who was their ,and spoke 3 languages said "Tres Jolie Defica" loosely translated the very pretty poop. Crude but funny !
My good news. The social worker called me-who is a gem-We should get our letter of certification any time soon-and the books that give us pictures of children and vinettes on them. So next week, after months we are officialy pregnant. The kids that we had our eye on-were also taken off of the site-thats ok-at least they are going to be adopted-may they be blessed-God has the perfect child or children to add to our forever family. I know our son is a gift from God-we will wait patiently for his other gifts, and be grateful.
2dads-I send you my love and prayers-its gonna be alright. As soon as you know-which I think will be very soon-all of us on this thread -who love and support you guys are going to be so estatic for you. Plus I can buy her a little bling-a princess needs this you know!
My best to all in the kingdom-big kisses Jimmima

OH MY….what have I started in misconstruing the Clan of Beaverhousin for Beaver Clan?? I hope I did not offend any of the Royal Court…it seems, however that Papa takes pride in being a member of the “valley of beavers!!”
Speaking of the Court, can someone PLEASE attach a royal hierarchy…we losers would never want to disrespect the ranks.
Thank you for the warm welcome, Dame Anita. Papa did ask about my beaver…I mean, uh…your beaver….I mean the valley of beavers. Oh, she is a just a busy baroness trying to take care of her husband’s tools. Hmmmm….wow, I too get flustered when my wife misplaces the tools. It causes utter chaos and overwhelming frustration. Ever nail a hole in the wall with a bat…it’s no fun...trust me!!
Dame Anita – next time you are “farting around”, please place a couple million swimmers in papa’s recommended “Glad fresh seal packs” and freeze…appears we may need them in February. The adoption research is getting us no where…what a joy to live in the bible belt!! Ugh – the thought of carrying around a big a** uterus again is dreadful!! And, the wife wants twins!
I need to find a job – the demands are putting me over the edge!! Maybe I should up my meds.
2Dads – hang in there…we are pulling for you!

Dear royal subjects: Nthemoment-had a question about hiararchy-so here it goes:
Rosie: Our King
Kelli: Our Queen
Gregg: HRH Princess of the Hamptons
Douglas: Dame Anita Mann-her thread
Kimgr: Dame Kimara Beaverhousin
Papajim: Baroness Jimmima Von Helquim
2dads: Baroness Saphire
We need to come up with a title for you: Maybe Dutchess nthebeaver..no..nooo! Dutchess
N of the Beaver Clan. We need a chime in vote...
-Douglas you are going to be the most popular guy on the boat with your spunk and Zip-locks. Gals will be banging at your door with turkey basters in hand. I am bringing you a wrist brace:rolleyes: Since Anita pushes the envelope and I do not want to get her in trouble, and I know my sister Kim will go one step beyond me....
- Since Doug will be so busy..how she is going to get through customs with frozen jizz is beyond me...And I am all into good causes I will lend a hand or other things for the project-
If people want it fresh off the griddle:eek: Anita says: I am sorry..your order is ruined..Papa (natural- 12amp suction-and full lips secondary to maxi lip venom) got caught up in the moment and acted like a praying manthis and ate my young:mad: We are going to try again and again-come on Jim We got work to do Hoover...Doug tries to refocus eyes after they have rolled to the back of his head from his extasy..lets go again ..shwang-chicka boom bah..wow!
< Jim Gets private message from founders..and gets cease and desist order>
Doug and Jim in hot seat once again with dunce caps on-you started it Doug..no you did Jim you Wh&^%! In trouble once again before boarding the ship-Does this sound remotely familiar Kim???
Anyways-I hope no one gets offended-explicatives are illuded to...There are wars and terrorists all over-aren't you glad we have a place to release (put away the baggy Doug..not now) with our humor? And forget for a moment that we live in a planet in strife!

Good morning, hello, how the hell are you? Haven’t been on for a bit, had a crazy busy week.
2Dads - we are sending positive energy to you... there is a plan for your path, and no matter what it will be worth the wait I feel good about it for you, lets keep our fingers crossed.
I guess the Clan of Beaverhousen is a beaver clan when you really think about it; I am from Canada and a female.... I’m sure the Dame Anita and Baroness just cringed and ran screaming when the mention of a beaver was posted in the thread....
Dame Anita runs screaming, arms and hands waving in the air (wrists are limp and flapping) she forgets to open the screen door before running into the street and SPLAT.... flip flops and boxers everywhere.....
The Baroness on the other hand is in a Vera Wang gown, tight all they way down, she is trying to run and scream but she can only shuffle because the dress is too tight at the calf to allow her to really run out onto the street, the dress is accessorized with a Harry Winston tiara and broach. While trying to shuffle/run, she breaks a heel on her Manolo Blahnik sling backs... she does a half pike with a twist off her porch and somersaults down her lawn to land in a messy heap in the arms of the fireman from the county fair who is now stalking her (not that the Baroness minds or anything...)
Oh dear nthemoment, who thought the mention of a beaver would cause such a whirl of disarray!
As far as the Royal Hierarchy goes, I believe the Baroness did post it earlier, Baroness can you elaborate.....
Also, congrats to the Dame Anita on your new job, hope it works out for you. Im a little delayed in my congrats and with the thread lately...

Sorry, didnt realize the Baroness had already posted the hierachy....
I can see it now, Lesbians lined up outside of the Dames door waiting for their ziplock bag of "stuff"....turkey basters all round please! So nice of the Baroness to lend a hand.....
Now Dame, dont be practicing on the airplane, remember no liquids in your carry on baggage.....
good lord, what did I just say....
AH, I better get back to work and refocus! :p

Like I give a rats A%^ About what Sponge Bob or Jimmy Neutron did!!!!!!!!
nthemoment-I forgot to mention-no, I never put a nail in with a bat, but I did use a shoe with a hard sole.
<Papa gets political-wisps back long bangs-parted in the middle-flings head and looks like Bella Abzug. More travel restrictions because of these insane, brainwashed, misguided
messengers of Satan! I hate how the media says at times -Radical Muslims..I have friends of all faith and respect everyones right to believe or not believe, but in peace. My Muslem friends are not terrorists nor is the Muslem ..the Koran does not teach terrorism..
The Radical Islamic -much like the radical Christian extremist have gotten the wrong message-they are Gods mad deciples..interpreting the words that were so misunderstood. Neither Mohammad or Jesus taught hate but Love. No where in scriptures does Jesus mention homosexuality. But fundamentalist want to teach us to live in hate-in fear-in judgement. I refuse -as we all should. I pray for peace. We as a homosexual community know prejudice and hatred towards something that is natural to us-loving unconditionaly.
As my hero Martin Luther King said so eloquently in one of the most powerful speaches to man...I have a dream..that one day Jews and Gentiles..the black man and the white man..would sit together in peace at one table.. I hope that will happen but, I am only responsible for what I put out there.
As my mom has said( looney as she is) You should never hate people for the color of their skin or because they are different from you..God made us all different because he likes variety. My uncle chimed in one time and added..yeah jim, you only hate people when they are A&*-holes! My mother just rolled her eyes and said "geeze"

Cagle’s don’t do jack for me…tried it while pregnant…every day on the way to work. And to think I was pretty proud of those particular muscles being in shape!! Nope, laugh…cough…dribble dribble. Most pregnant women can attest.
Hi Crazy…my wife is not a princess or prince either – more androgynous…she seems to think! She calls me princess all the time – while barking out wifely orders and demands (e.g. WHERE IS MY TOWEL??).

Dear crazy Jester-every coart needs one-we are staying in Miami for the day before and after-at the Marriot -we have not made reservations yet, but have sooo many points as a platinum member now-that we will probably get the penthouse for free-free indeed after spending a fortune their for years. The one in Washington was a bad experience-they were very incompetant and I still am going to write them a letter and read their beads-Thank God the cruise was perfect in every aspect. Do you know that Kim and I and her wife Jill love Susan Powter? Anyhow-I am gonna complain to Marriot and get something for my trouble...I had the same problem in Millwakee-but never in San francisco where they bend over backwards:eek: well-is that not expected? Overall my experience with Marriot has been good. I had a contract with them in my previous work life-and I will throw that in my letter
For anyone that reads the cruise was too crowded etc. Hey it was great! I met so many good people and never found it a problem. We loved it, and I do not like crowds-but was elated with the crowds on the ship. I suppose it is what you make of it-i am a half full guy.. and not full of Sh*&

Good Evening Daughters of Eve and Sons of Adam,
Hear Ye Hear Ye,
We've got Wonderful, no Spectacular News. We finally heard from the Royal Social Worker today. He informed us that he was finally able to pin down Lady Ashley's Social Worker today. The reason why we hadn't heard from her is, because of all things they assigned her a new Social worker.
We have our intake meeting with Lady Ashley's Social Worker on the 17th of August at 3 pm. After this meeting, they will start by setting up our first meeting with her. It was then or after the 1rst part of September, and we weren't going to wait until then. Our Royal nerves would have been shot by then.
We will keep you all posted on what devolps from there.
Until then TTFA,

Hello all,
We have had quite a bit of excitement the past few days in our family as well. My ex gf who also happens to be the bio grandmother my oldest boy went to jail Monday night and social worker called me and asked me to come and pick up the other two bio half brother and sister of my oldest boy's whom my ex had custody of. I did this, she then got out of jail but social worker told me to keep them, not to let her have them as there were several issues that have yet to be investigated first. THe other bio grandmother of the little boy came upfrom Memphis and got emergency custody of the little boy. I got emergency custody of the little girl. My oldest said "Mama, please ya gotta try to fight for her" She is 7 and moderately mentally retarded due to abuse. She is precious. It is just such a big hassle dealing with all of the extended family of this child... they don't want to care for her....but they don't want me to have her as I am not blood and .....guess what....I am a queer......oh my gosh.....as if that is going to rub off on her or something. That all happened Monday night. Then Wed. I had to go back to court and was given temporary custody. Now I have to go back again in Sept. for the big court battle..the trial. The great grandmother had the law come banging on my door late last nite after we were all asleep. I open the door. Mr LawMan says Mam do you have a little girl here illegally? I say no. He says well do you have a little one here that doesn't belong to you? I say no. Finally he calls her by her name and says is she here. I say yes. He says well I have a complaint that she is here illegally..that you have kidnapped her... I said hold that thought... got the custody papers... showed them to him and asked if he needed to see anything else? Then I asked him to please tell those peeps that filed that complaint to leave me alone as I was tired of being harrassed. When I registered her at school, all the teachers, etc were so glad I had custody now.....so I pray that it works out and she can become part of our forever family eventually. She deserves so much better than she has already been through. Sorry didn't meant to vent....,have a good nite all

Hello all,
We have had quite a bit of excitement the past few days in our family as well. Sorry didn't meant to vent....,have a good nite all
Hi Dizzy D,
Our prayers will be with you and those kids as you face, what could be the fight of your life with the Courts and those peeps. I am really gladd to hear that the county in your area was able to recongize that you are a good parent despite your sexuality.
Again our prayers and I'm sure everyone on this Board will be praying and keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes the right way for you and those children.
Its time to put a end to all of the suffering and abuse those children have been through. It's time to show them that they are someone and that people actually love and care about them. It's take a real person to stand up and fight for the rights of Children, when they are not able to do it themselves.
Bravo Bravo.

<Papa Jim imitates Hannibal Lecter’s voice--in the parody of Silence of the Lambs>
Papa Jim: Tell me Douglas—Have the sperm stopped screaming?
Douglas: No!
Papa Jim: You still wake up sometimes, don’t you? You wake up in the dark and hear the screaming of the sperm?
Douglas: Yes!
Papa Jim: And you think if you save the sperm you can make them stop don’t you? You think if they live, you won't wake up in the dark ever again to that awful screaming of the sperm?
Douglas: I don’t know. I don’t know!
Papa Jim: Thank you, Douglas. Thank You.
Douglas: Tell me what to do with them Papa Jim.
Papa Jim: Brave Douglas. You will let me know when those sperm stop screaming won’t you?
Douglas: Tell me what to do, Papa Jim.
Papa Jim: Douglas, your tissue. Goodbye, Douglas.
<Douglas wads up the recently moistened tissue… throws it in the trash can… washes his hands… sits at the keyboard and beings to type>
That Papa Jim… he’s scary! He brought Richard Nixon back to life!:D
Wow! I don’t know what to say about the Royal Court’s postings today. While I was hard-at-work (Thanks to Papa Jim’s naughty nature) the rest of you were behaving more like Ancient Romans and Greeks rather than the pompous and arrogant monarchy I have come to know and love. Awe, who am I kidding… you were all fabulously filthy today… I couldn’t be more proud of the soiled court! However, you were also politically and morally insightful—there was much banter about politics, discrimination and forever families—which is just as important. To anyone who would object to the “adult content” contained on this thread today (and you know who you are—I received your e-mail—phuck you by the way!) I would remind you that this forum is for Gay Adults to communicate in whatever manner they see fit—free speech. If you do not like the content, do not read the thread!
<Dame Anita clutches her pearls> Papa Jim… he gets an IM from a pervert. Me, I get an e-mail from a right-wing introvert! I was young and pretty once too ya’ know! :( Anyway, there are more then two pages of posts to respond to today… so it’s impossible to address everything and everyone—forgive this Dame for any omissions.
It seems that there are several individuals in the court awaiting their royal titles… Dame Kimira Beaverhousin and Baroness Jimmima Von Helquim have done a wonderful job coming up with appropriate titles—and I think we should choose one of theirs—but I will suggest a few other options:
For nthemoment, might I offer these three titles?
1. Baroness Beavermunchin
2. Lady Licksalot
3. Countess Clitoris
For Dremeer, might I offer these titles?
1. Dame Dreamsalot
2. Duchess of Dreams
3. Dame DreamsofDeppalot… no, no… that could have been mine!
I am very excited that our Royal Court Jester, Crazy Cheryl, has decided to join all of us on the cruise. It wouldn’t have been the same without her. I plan on putting a few drinks in her and seeing if she lives up to the name…
As for the long line of ovulating Lesbians forming outside of my Stateroom, well, I’d be more then happy to fill out an application and make a deposit. <Feels woozy> Papa Jim… what have you gotten us into?
It’s late folks… After midnight on the east coast… so you know what that means… only 190 days left until the cruise!

Um… I’m not sure nthemoment. I mean, Kim goes by Dame Kimira Beaverhousin, so the rodent part is a definite yes—and you actually thanked Kim for her “sweet generosity and prospective titles of honor” yesterday; however, as for the others… well… I was just going along with the theme established by those bad girls Kim and Papa Jim. Would you like me to come up with something a bit more serious? Would you like something more profound and meaningful? Something like, Dame Deep thought or Lady Latte?
First, I get an e-mail from a right-wing zealot, now I get covertly acerbically rebuked!

Two hours later: Um... nevermind! nthemoment (Kristi) and I have made up! We chatted in a private IM and she meant no harm. I'm still a bit "on edge" from the e-mail I received yesterday from that right-wing religious zealot... I'll write more about that at another time.

”…this forum is for Adults to communicate in whatever manner they see fit—free speech. If you do not like the content, DO NOT READ THE THREAD!”
Second…my dear Dame Anita and I have mended our misunderstanding…this sassy little femme girl was having a little fun. I am honored with all titles of honor and, put simply, they are all befitting!! Hmmm…I should be put to shame!! :D
No titles needed for this girl…I am happy to have fun with you all and look forward to meeting you in February! ;)

Crazy I do like the names but a nasty one in this forum would be better. I do like Duchess of Dreams and will accept that title if that is what you all agree on. I cannot name myself and will leave it up to all of you to come up or give me the one you want.
On another note how do you put the Yahoo or IM in the posts? I looked all through the options and didn't see how to do it. I am not sure if it will work with the program I use but I can always open other ones. I use trillian and love it but sometimes it isn't compatible with stuff. I cannot IM from the icons you all have with only trillian open.
Well have a good night all. BTW Cheryl I was going to invite you to rubyfruit last night but then I decided not to go. If I do go whenever would you be interested?

I called American today. Got distracted by the darn phone. SOOOOO I said to myself. Self, call later and make your reservations you have time.
Well that was an expensive conversation.
As I am on the phone with the airline. (Princess chimes in) Mom were going in Feb too? Can we afford it?
Of course not. But thats no reason not to go. Cant afford not to go.

crap, I have to be serious for a minute...
OK who the hec is not playing nice? Really, no one on here means to offend anyone, yes sometimes its a bit adult, but look at what else is on here. The shared storys of adoptions and sometimes sadder stories too. This is a place not only to have fun but to read all the happy storys and sometimes the sad stories and we offer support, advice and freindship.
For me, this is my playground. After having a child in my life my friends have literally vanished. I can come on here and be a mature adult or be a silly royal buttock. I chose the latter more often. But in this forum I have found this missing link. I have new friends and a special, warm and loving freindship in Papajim. After meeting Jim on this forum site first then on the Alaska cruise along with his husband John and son Stephen, I have found a family to be our forever friends and I only need this one family to replace all the others that have run away. And now that Doug has started this thread, I now consider all the others on this thread my friends too, I can come on here and have the best laugh and I am also learning alot too.
There are people on here that have kids, dont have kids, just plain feel safe here without the circuit single life hubbub. Anyone that does not like the content should really consider another thread. There are lots of interesting topics being discussed.
Whoever you are , please reconsider your negative thoughts. We really are just a bunch of adult goof balls having some fun. Our lives are all very different and like I said for various reasons we need this outlet so we can be ourselves or be just plain silly!

We are finally home to stay from all our summer adventures and school begins tomorrow. And rats, the computers at work now have this site filtered so catching up with you all will have to be an evening thing to do. Seem this is an "entertainment" site and thus not educational. Anyhow we are back and will join in the fun once in awhile on here and be part of the silly royal buttock's :)

nthemoment, papajim, 2dads...thanks so much for the words of support and encouragement
I know from past experiences with the ex that this is truley going to be a long and tuff battle. At least before, we shared custody. This time she had sole custody of this little girl before I got her. She is adjusting so well to our family and we to her. She is definitely a handful but a pleasant one!
Mr. of Ms. Fundamentalist....please leave our Dame Anitaman alone....this a much needed outlet from the everyday strains of life. And as I believe it was Cheryl that commented now that we have children most of our friends are long gone....at least my gay ones are...seems I don't fit in anymore with 2, oops now 3 kids in tow! So some days, this thread is my lifesaver after dealing with a horrendous ex and a custody battle! Try another thread if this one bothers you or loosen up and have some fun with this one!!

I was surprised to read that some people had a less than wonderful time on the Alaska cruise (crowds, long lines, rude people, etc), but I think that what you get out of something is directly related to what you put into it. I have dealt with crowds, long lines and even unbelieveably rude people just going to our local state fair. For the chance for us and our kids to spend the week with a boat-full of other families just like ours seems like heaven. We are so excited to be going and nothing is going to ruin our good time.
I can't wait to meet many of you there.

Dizzy - hang in there, it will all be good in the end. I hope this thread offers you the support and entertainment that helps you get through. We are here for you, the little girl is lucky to have you. Oh by the way, the lottery was 42 million last night and I havent checked my ticket yet, Im still on for my offer should I win!

Well, ahh, deep breath, let it out slowly, two kids down for the night, peace and quite abounds. Only the 13 year old and the dog is awake. Time to unwind a little. Keeping my fingers crossed Dame Beverhausen, LOL. We will definitely need it by the time court battle is over one way or the other! We will probably take the plunge in time for the 2008 depending on my teenagers dance schedule!

Note to self, "Self do not cook and go on the forum". Baroness I did a similar thing this evening, the family are out so I decided to cook pasta. I always put olive oil in the water so the pasta doesnt stick. Well, I boil the water and put in the pasta then come back downstairs to the computer, next thing I can smell burning oil, as I climb the stair smoke is everywhere, nothing on fire just oily water on the burner smoking like crazy.
I open all the doors and windows as the smoke billows outside, I look next door over my porch to see one of the queens is sitting in her recliner chair by the pool just giving me the look like, " you stupid lesbo, stick to tools and flannel"
The house next door is actually very cool, everyone is gay that lives in it. Two gay daddys own the house and live on the main floor, they have a 10 yr old and a 12 yr old both boys, there is the pool queen on the top floor who holds smart dinner parties on her laneye (dont know how to spell it) and two lesbos in the basement. On pride weekend it was so much fun to see them all hanging out, (no not body parts! people really!) and our backyard with a flurry of activity, it was like being on the cruise again!

I have one little political thing to mention, right now in Toronto, the International Aids conference is being held. As the host country you would think that the Prime Minster of Canada would attend, NOT! Bill Clinton, Alicia Keyes The Gates are all there but no PM of Canada. Truly a coward...
Wait, I just remembered, his head is stuck so far up Bushes butt that he can see Blairs feet...
I am embarassed as a Canadian that the PM has not attended...
Also Im sorry if my Bush comment is out of line, I do not mean it to offend anyone, its just my personal opinion of my PM. I will remove it if I get any flack...

Dizzy I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I hope things work out the way you want it.
Dame Anita Mann I don't think those fit just right. Do I have the right to be picky? Dreams and licksalot...hehe
Kim I do like Dutchess of Dirty Dreams, but is it dirty enough....you will all have to be the judge.
Ok let's talk and finish the crowd thing once and for all. Yes it was way more crowded then the first two cruises. Yes there were some **** nasty uptight people on the ship. Yes it would have been nice to have one big party with only nice people and be able to toss the other overboard.
I would have like to meet all the nice people in this forum but didn't get the chance.
Believe it or not I waited on more lines last year then I did this year. Coming from NY I am used to crowds and even had it today going to CVS but that being said I would rather no crowds.
I didn't let the crowds bother me because I learned from last year that stupid stuff can ruin my trip. So this year I went with the attitude go with the flow and for the most part nothing bothered me and even if I saw something that might I used it as entertainment.
I had a great time on the Alaska trip and in life nothing is ever perfect. It is what you make of it. So now let's drop this junk and believe you me this is coming from a pessimist. If I can let this stuff go everyone can.
Now what can we do about it. We can not look at the other forums and then we can just have fun...tis the way to go in my book.:D
Now for the right wing person if need be I will serve up a ole fashion new york woop a@&.

Dame Kimara Beverhousen Bush is an bleep, bleep, bleep. He has no right to run this country and kill so many of our young men. We have high gas prices and a failing economy. Ok I guess you can say I don't like him. He is a moron. Enough of this poltical stuff. Maybe he should go over to Mel Gibson's house and hang out with him.

You mention Mel Gibson-the mashugana shiester goya-I wasn't going to say anything about that boozer-Christian indeed-he may dress like a christian but the simularity ends their. And then his spin doctor must have come up with the brainchild.." I need to meet with jewish Leaders so that I may have absolution." " I am not an antesemetite" I believe he said. I say sew the putzes mouth shut-you shikza !!! Not anti semetic indeed. HE said the Jews were the cause of all the problems in the world-Not- honey, that would be the right wing fundamentalists and the radical clerics-HELLO MEL- not the Jews. Did he not write and fund the movie" The passion of the Christ"and made billions from it-FYI mel-Christ was born a Jew. I would let him think about his bigotry for a while-better that he should not darken the doors of Temple Beth Shalom:mad:
That said-did everyone have a nice weekend? I did and home school starts in the morning for my little guy-2nd grade-my babies getting older:( So I will have to spend less time on the computer and focus on his work) my playtime is lessened..thats ok..because he is one of the most important things in my life besides my partner-chocolate-and being fabulous.
There is a bear in the neighborhood -I can tell by my dogs barking-I came face to face with one last year-stay calm-walf backwards-never make direct eye contact..after you get inside...you lose all compusure...thank the stars that you did not Sh&* your pants..wake up your partner dramatically from a dead sleep..
ME: Oh honey you should have seen it..my first thought was to faint and cover my face..I did the right thing though..trebbled voice...verge of hysteria..oh, honey he could have killed me..ohhhhhh.
HUSBAND: Huh, what ..can you tell me that again..i 'm not awake
ME: Story repeated but fabricates parts of her story weaving "A Million Little Pieces" and
The Divinchi Code-into it.
Better that Mel should get mulled by a bear than darken the doors of Temple Beth Shalom.!

I sure wish there was some way to keep them young! He is now becoming a young man of his own (or so he thinks anyway LOL)- he is 13 and in the seventh grade and quite handsome I might add. Time sure does fly.......Cherish the days.....

Jim I don't know how the Rabbis wanted to even meet with him. I would never...if he said it deep down inside me meant it. I would never give him my money. I will not see his movies even if it was a good one. I don't give my money to people who hate us. I don't give my money to people who hate Americans either. I don't go out of the country anymore except on these cruises. I will not go spend money in Europe...they hate us. I will never go to the Bahamas again either. They said that it was just a small group of people that hated us but you know the truth is most of them did but were smart enough to be quiet to get our money.
Too early in the morning to think, so until later,

Hate is hate-how sad that is...that is what wars are based on-misunderstandings that escalate. I try to always be happy and peacefull-the thought that a fundamentalist came onto our site (Dougs thread) and harrased Doug is unconscionable-
THis is a site to be free-you and me and the rest-to share and laugh and be ourselves. When the rest of the world is in strife how nice that we have a place( our own queer Kingdom) to laugh and celebrate our beauty and light.
Have a great day! Where is my Doogie ( Doug/Anita)??? We are in her cyber house and she has gone awal...GIRL!!!!!!!!

I’m here everyone… I have a business trip coming up on the 20th and I’ll be gone for a week. I need to get the house in order—sprinklers up and running on their timer, yard & house clean etc—prior to my departure. Yesterday was spent mopping and organizing… and Saturday was spent making airport parking, plane, hotel and rental car reservations in addition to dinner in Palm Springs with an old friend from Jr. High School who is moving to Chicago. There will be more of the same when I get home from work this week, but I’ll be sure to do a big post tonight, before I go to bed.
Dreameer… WHAT? You’ve rejected the royal title I have bestowed upon you? Wait! I bestowed Duchess of Dreams upon you as well. What’s up with that?
Well, I have to get ready for work… everyone have a great day and I’ll write more tonight.:D
