:D I had the pleasure of attending Susans yoga classes, and getting to know her. How lovely she is and real. She made each person in her class feel so important-kudos. I received an email from her and she will cont. being on the cruise-thank goodness. She also can be contacted at myspace/Susanpowter live. or on her official website.
Her yoga is for any level. I know this because I am out of shape-proof is in the pictures posted via Kim:( However in a few short weeks, I have lost an inch from my waist, and feel better already. Note: I hate to exercise but love her program. Also her book "The Politics Of Stupid" is a great read.
Thank you Susan for being a part of the Rfamily-WE Love You!:D

 I missed her lecture, but she adores me-I'm a man-a gay man-a very loving guy.
ok-i am very in touch with my feminine side-one of the girls. In fact some lesbian friends made me lesbian by proxy. I adore her.

I never went to any of her classes but talked to her several times. I really hope to see her on future cruises. She is a hoot, and my son really enjoyed playing with her son.

Don't know about the lecture. My wife was in the library I think that's where she said -- one morning and overheard the yoga session. She said it scared the hell out of her. :p "Lots of 'Jesus! Get your ass up!'" Made us laugh. So you can enjoy her Yoga class without even participating!

 Susan, is booked for future cruises -she is a hoot. This can be confirmed by the rfamily team. Just relaying info. that I was told. Get her video-trailer park yoga. It is such a good workout-even for those like me that hate ex. but am getting to like it. Changing my food habits, and reading her book" the politics of stupid" She is very motivating. Look at her at 48-she has a body of a fit 18 yo, and she used to weigh in at 265#.

Well I found her classes amazing despite the excessive feminism, but that was just part of the cruise I guess. I really appreciate the one female couple that expressed to me she was glad papa's were on the cruise as well as mama's.
Susan does great yoga, she pushed me but never hurt me. I never told her I have a terribly bad back, but her instructions were just so perfect. Always work hard, but listen to your body and modify if it's too hard. Thank you Susan.

:p I have been keeping in touch with Susan via email and you can as well-Susan has a forum/blog and resourse on MySpace.com-type in her name and be added to her friends list. My space is free. She invites everyone to join her and check out Susan Powter Live.
Also Kimgr was also going to orchestrate something like "Team Powter" For all that are on her program on the ship and cont. For progress, support, recipe exchange( Healthy ones). Although I have a recipe for chocolate molten cake that is soooo good. I will not make them until I lose this stomach-eating alot of healthy food-feelin great-recovering from too much fun-I am so glad I do not drink alchohol or I would be in a coma. Happy getting fitter-everyone Should join us that wants to get fit-a fit toned body for the next trip:eek:
For someone who hates to exercise and loves to eat-this plan works for me, because I can modify it and do not feel like I have been run over the next day. :D

:p The only thing that I am doing is reading Susans book and doing the DVD and eating a healthier diet. I have increased my intake of foods that are from a tree or the ground. Even though I ate pretty healthy before, I started into the peanut butter fix again-the trans-fat kind, no more. I used to skip breakfast, now I make time for a yogi-( fresh fruit, yogurt and homemade granola.) It has made a difference. I have more energy in the afternoon and don't get sluggish:eek: Susan says if you get hungry-eat fruit-and I do. I cannot wait to see results, I will have to now-did not pack on an extra 15#s overnight. As one gets older:eek: things that were north go south:confused: I plan to send everything I can up north, for the next cruise-not procrastinating and on board for my new body makeover. If this guy can do it anyone can!

:D Having someone in person is always the greatest. I like her DVD. I only paid $17.00 on the boat. I like it-It starts out with her being Susan-raw and real. If you love her -you will love the dvd. Most exercise dvd's are more expensive and i lose interest fast. This one I love. So, yes I reccomend Trailer Park Yoga.:D

I noticed on Susan's website, www.susanpowteronline.com there is a deal for RFamily Alaska cruisers. You need your reservation number.
I too am reading Susan's book and am finding it great, cant wait to get started...
What I wanted to propose was a challenge to get fit, healthy and lose weight for next summers cruise. Of course in a safe and healthy way such as Susan's way. (no Calista or Mary Kate diets!)
Any takers on the challenge?
The motivator for this challenge should be whoever reaches their goals get to line up first for the chocolate buffett next summer!

LOL Great idea kimgr!!:) I have the Yoga DVD and loved Susan in person. I'm up the challenge. We'll see tho, even eating right and excersing daily I gained 75 pounds this last year.
Hey PAPAJIM I waited until I got home to order the Yoga because I just didn't have any room left to pack it, and just wanted to double check something. I got my dvd yesterday and it was just a burned copy in a (broken) colored case lke you get at any wal-mart or staples? Was this what was sold on the ship too?

Hi everyone...
I've loved reading your posts about Susan on the Alaska cruise.
I was on last years cruise but had to miss out on Alaska (back in college=no cruise money!)
Anyway, I also met Susan on the cruise and have been following her plan ever since (some times better than others!)
If you all are interested, we have a free message board for people who are following her message (whether loosely or strictly) and it seems it would be a good place for you all to keep in touch and keep track of your progress til next cruise (which I will hopefully be joining you all on!)
The link is:

Check if out if you're interested,

 Kia-Susan does not believe in waste-therefore the dvd is in a generic case. It creates less paper waste.;)

:p Kia-You watched the video I assume. She is just as silly on the DVD as in real life. The leaf blower thing kills me LOL-my stance is definately modified, if not I would be on the floor-the wall-falling down the stairs. I feel good doing it though, and I'm sticking with it. I also do Stuff without the dvd to stretch this less than limber body:mad: Walking around the house holding in my stomach, and clenching my butt together. Since I walk funny when doing this, my son asked me " Do you need to poop?"

:p I can hardly wait till my brewd expands. Looking at my tummy I look about 8 months along. I am breathing-eating right-exercising and so **** tired of laundry and cleaning house-I suppose the life of a baroness does not begin until Feb. In the meantime poo-poo diapers:eek: We will see when our home study for chil d#2 or 3 will be finished in about 2 weeks. Then we can look for our expansion to our family. I told the agency to hurry up, we want to take these kids on the cruise-to celebrate them into our family. I think it would be cool for all the new additions to everyones family to have a group blessing of some kind by the minister/rabbi on board. When Steven got blessed in my church-AOG-he told the pastor-I gotta go pee now! Lovely:o Kelli if you are reading this what do you think?

I think that having a blessing of some sort for the new kids would be a wonderful idea. We are also telling our agency to hurry up with child # 3 as well. We have seen a girl that we are interested in and are in the matching process right now, but as you know everything is so sloow after you've already have 2 kids.
We are tying to loose weight as well, but the waiting process doesn't help.
We both took one look at the queen size bed online in the AB Penthouse and said , we both better go on a diet to loose some weight so we can fit in the bed together. Yes, we are both large luxury additions and don't want to be the only Big Boys on the ship ;) .
Take care and we both hope that some kind of blessing can be arranged on the ship.

:D J & D-You will be glad to know that there were few Adonases on board. We all looked kind of average builds. I was kind of worried about that too-I went up 3 dress sizes before the trip:eek: However, I am following Susans program-Exercise, eat as much food that comes from the ground as you like. I wonder if double fudge home made brownies are from the ground? Lots of fruits and veggies, unproccesed grains etc. I also eat meat though in moderation. I am making my Southern oven ribs this eve-Yumm- I do not go to a gym, I do not have the time or the will to go-it bores me. Susans dvd is working out good for me, and I don't do it daily either. Yoga darling yoga-I lost 1.5 inches in my waist=11/2 dress size:eek:
I wish you congrats on your new child to come. It is longer after your first child too. They want everything but dna-mercy. I hope they have a blessing for the kids, I will ask Kelli or Gregg-Take care and peace out:cool:

I have been doing Yoga since I got home almost daily. As a sport horse rider I need to be fit and flexible to compete. Thinner would be nice too. I have mastered downward dog.....my butt is up in the air, my head down, my back flat and my heels go all the way to the floor...... hehehe......I'm just putting that out there.
As a 42 year old gay man.....I agree with her postion on men rulling the earth. How many women are running Fortune 500 companies?
Yoga has changed my life in really cool ways. Putting shoes on while standing on one leg with strength and balance.
I am a Yoga guy for life.
