Hi kelli, first i would like to take this opportunity to say thanks for creating these opportunities for me to take my children on a cruise with families that are similar to ours. i haven't been on one of the cruises yet, however, my friends tim and fred and their son thomas have been on two so i have heard so many positive things. i am hoping one day that my family will be able to join you. my partner and i adopted a little girl nearly two years ago who was severly abused as an infant. her injuries caused for her to have emergency surgery to remove half of her brain due to severe swelling. we were told she would not live but her amazing spirit and will to live has proved everyone wrong. she has had a very tough fight and continues to struggle to do daily activities. she is a very happy three year old now. however, being the worried mom i am i get nervous thinking about taking her away from her doctors here. her overall health has been very good for the last year. :) I would love for her to experience a fun family vacation. i have been a huge fan of rosie's because of her love for children and i would love for my daugther to be able to meet her. i guess i'm wondering what kind of medical care is available on the ship if there was an emergency. i had emailed you before your first cruise to florida but she was so frail then that we decided not to chance it. we live in california and like the idea that you are staying in the US. i'm just torn- i was hoping that tim, fred and thomas would be on the alaska cruise just for moral support since i will be nervous taking her away from our doctors. i'm sure everything would be fine, and it sounds like an amazing experience. i would be very grateful if you could tell me about what would happen in a medical emergency. thanks for your time and thanks again for what you are doing. you are awesome:) :)
