My partner and I are childless for now but we plan on going on our first Rosie Cruise next
year. We're from Long Island, NY and the NY departure makes this cruise more affordable for us! :D

We had our reservations about being on this cruise with a bunch of families and their children but after seeing the DVD All Aboard, we're sure we'll have a blast! I love kids (I'm a pediatric nurse) so being around healthy happy children is an immense joy for me, even if they're not mine. Also, since we both plan on having kids in the future, being around others who already went through the process will be so great for us! We cant wait!!! :)

We also are looking forward to making friends on this cruise.... being a gay monogamous couple, it's hard to find others who are interested in friendship without "benefits"! ugh! :confused:

Know exactly what you mean. We have been together almost 29 years, and for most of those have lived outside the gay community with the exception of some dear lesbian couple friends. We always hope to meet like minded people. But now that we have twins we will are feeling even more isolated - probably 'cause the babies take all our time. Hope to be on the July cruise. Not sure if we will be because DP's family is considering a family vacation for next summer. We can't afford to do both - I am hoping for the cruise and lookng forward to meeting like minded friends if we can make it - Garry

...been enjoying reading that others share our interest in meeting other couples! We too are a monogomous couple of 12 years ... now with two beautiful children (2 & 4). I also share the "feeling like an island" of 1. being MONOGOMOUS and 2. choosing to grow into a family that included children... as a MALE COUPLE.

We are soooooooo looking forward to sharing with our children more of our community THAT INCLUDES other families JUST LIKE THEM... and my partner and I also are very much looking to meet others LIKE US that share similiar values and interest in FAMILY
