I am sorry if I'm about to upset the boat so to speak.

But I have just read some wonderful news. www.whatsonstage.com have announced that the production of Mary Poppins here in our very own London is about to have a new Bert taking over the lead role.

The good news is and I'm really pleased for him it's Gavin Creel, the bad news however is it's saying he takes over from the 26th June 2006.

Does this mean he won't be joining us on the cruise now?

I will be as upset as most, but good for him I know i will be booking tickets to see the show again.

New York Broadway news states start date for Gavin is July 26th not June 26th. Good news all around.

Hey thats great news im so pleased, we were really looking forward to seeing him perform, and now it seems we will.

I just checked the website again looks like they have the date wrong, thank god.

Will he fly back to Seattle for the cruise? Will they give him a 1-week vacation? Bert is a big role with the accent, dancing, and upside-down walk.

Relax, Gavin will be there. He has everything worked out, and will be our opening performer on the cruise unless something has changed in the master schedule.

Gavin netted two new fans/admirers with his concert on Opening Night on the Alaska trip! My mom, straight grandma, and I, lesbian mommmy, fell head over heels for him! I'm hooked on the c.d. and can't stop singing or hearing his songs in my head! I have soooo many favorites for soooo many reasons but overall love the movin' and groovin' of the music and drive of the lyrics and his voice. I listen at work on my headphones and have a hard time staying in my seat!

Thanks to Gavin, and Robbie, for sharing their music with us. It was a highlight of my vacation and cruise!
