anyone have suggestions based on previous alaska trips?..is it true it could be anywhere from quite warm to very cold (on the glaciers)... shorts to ski coats for the kids? (4 and 10)
any feed back is welcome

We were on an Alaska cruise last summer with the same itinerary. In fact, we were in Juneau on July 4th. Pack layers. The glacier was cold, but I was fine being outside for a half hour wearing a long sleeve shirt, fleece and windbreaker. This year I will bring a hat, gloves and long underwear so I can stand outside longer and take picture.

The cool thing about this cruise is you can actually SNUGGLE in PUBLIC if you get COLD! :-)

Try going to a store that sells Colombia gear-they have alot of great products. Also you may want to look at Lands End. Layering Sweetie!
