Hotels in Miami

I was wondering if R Family would be doing some sort of Hotel deal like they did in Seattle. I checked a lot of the websites and couldn't find anything decent for under $200/night. Plus I really don't know Miami at all and wouldn't know what would be the best hotel to stay at so that it wouldn't be a long trek to the ship.

We too are looking for a reasonable hotel both for the day before and the day after the cruise. There are probably lots of places where we should not stay which is why I hesitate to just book online. Any help would be appreciated.

We are working on getting a group rate at a Miami property. The challenge is that our cruise departs on a holiday weekend so its a bit challenging.

All of the boutique hotels (as well as the chains) in South Beach are quite nice and charming.

Any property you were considering??

I booked the Hyatt in Coral Gables. I took your advice and booked ahead because of spring break. My understanding is that it is faily close to the Ports?
