It doesn't look good if they let all the staff go!
Does this blog accept comments? I saw some input, but the comments weren't dated or timed.
I can start a Yahoo group when I get home tonight....It's pretty simple to do.
....maybe there's an rFamily Yahoo group already?

Hey! It's my blog! And it does accept and welcome all comments.
Let me reiterate that I have NO information directly from R Family (I am trying my darndest to get it- I've called twice and emailed too, but so far no answer). I hadn't updated the blog in a while, as I was waiting for RFamily to open up after their vacation and start selling the Alaska cruise. Then I got (unsolicited) the comment a couple days ago about them changing ships and sail dates. After asking for more info (after the cruise didnt go on sale as planned and I couldn't reach RFamily), I got another comment hinting at more serious issues- closing up shop and all that. Of course anyone on the internet can say or do anything, so who knows what is true- i just report the buzz as I hear it and try to get to the bottom of it. Since posting, I have received a couple of comments that seem to be consistent- RFamily is trying to work out details on chartering the Star instead of the Sun (which would be great, because it actually means the sailing is more popular than maybe they planned). I've heard that from a couple of folks now, so I'm thinking that's the more accurate rumor. Of course it could be nothing at all-- just the same old R Family, which puts on a fantastic, wonderful, amazing, meaningful cruise, but has some issues in the customer communication, website-updating, etc department. if you visit the Buzz today, I've put some preliminary info up about the Star, and am going forward hoping that that is the only change (if any at all)!
