Could anyone who's traveled rFamily comment on $ for "adult beverages". Do you have a running 'tab' or a special swipe card you pay at the end? Could be dangerous if you don't know how much alcohol costs are. How about the outings...how much do you put aside for that. Yea, I know that we all have different spending habits. More wondering about the costs of stuff that you might not think of until your on the boat...and you want to follow with flow.

Your room card doubles as a "charge card" for all onboard expenses (drinks, gift shop, excursions). At the end of the cruise you put the total on a regular credit card or pay cash if you have it.

That was exactly the way it was done at Disney! My partner and I went last year so she could run the marathon there. When we got the bill on checking out it wasn't that bad at all. We we're pretty carefull. It was a great way of doing things!

The prices of the drinks are posted on the menu and not outrageously expensive. I think the frozen drinks around the pool were about $6:00 and wine with dinner was not as pricy as I thought it would be. Approx 20's-30's for an ok bottle. You do use your card and it's tallied at the end of cruise. No need to carry any cash on the ship, just wear key around your neck.

You're right, that does sound pretty typical for prices for cocktails....coming from the East Coast, that's actually quite reasonable!

You can also call the front reception at any time and they will have an up to date bill sent to your room. We have done this both years just to see where we stand around mid-trip. It is a nice way to plan how you will do things for the rest of the trip.
As far as excursions they range in price. Last trip we took a lobster excursion that cost around $90 a person, and it included lunch. Choose your excursion(s) wisely to fit your needs and budget :) And if your budget doesn't allow for a lot of excursions/extras....just hang out and relax!

Does any one know when the list of excursions is sent to us...or is it a sign up deal once on the boat? First come first serve? Never been on a cruise but I've heard of others who have said that they recieve a pre - packet of the activities and are encourage to sign up and send in prior to the trip... anyone know how it works with the rFamily cruise?
Gosh, I just can't wait...can u tell ?

You can also google the cruise line and ship and find out that way what excusions are avaliable on that boat.
Unless R Family adds/deletes them according to what they want to do.
