Hello!
I have just watched the All Aboard Rosies Family Cruise for the 4th time!!! Dontcha just love tivo LOL:) I feel like I go on vacation every time I watch it!!
I'll introduce myself,, my name is Raynae' and I live in South Georgia w/ my wife Holly. We got "married" in Vegas this past November (Elvis performs excellent Commitment Ceremonies!!). Holly is a Commercial Beekeeper and I work part time for Directv (I'm one of those people you talk to when your satellite isn't working when you want it to! hehee). My real full time job is mother to our 3 kids. I have 3 kids that I adopted thru the foster care system (at the time I was married to my ex-husband). I have been their mom since 1994 My oldest Loretta will be 17 in May, Dianna is 15, and my son Grady is 12.
I am very blessed to have a loving family. Holly and I have been together for almost 3 yrs. I want to take my family to this cruise so we can meet other families like ours. We have a few lesbian friends in our area (the gay community is pretty thin around these parts). But most are single and still in the club scene and well,, that"s fun as a night out once a year kinda thing,, but w/ kids,,,,, you know that just isn't "it" anymore.
My kids are wonderful,, they have been thru so much and have such a good outlook on life. Even going thru a divorce my kids have seen that by me coming out and being truthful about myself,, that I am a much happier person,,, they can see what a change it has had on me,, and on their lives also. It was a transitional period there for a time. My oldest was a little wary to tell her friends. But overall we have had no big problems. I was also wanting to inquire,, are there any other Lesbian Mom's out there w/ a child that has just came out as a Lesbian? My 15yr old came out last summer. And let me tell you it was a shock (isn't that funny :) ) She has a gf that is a real sweet girl-- I just love her!! I would love to see if anyone else is going thru this.
Well,,,, boy I sure made this a big intro.... you know how us southern girls like to yap!!!
Take care!!!!

Hi! I live in Florida now but grew up in Macon Ga and lived in Warner Robins for awhile. Are you coming on the cruise this summer. I guess that would be a shocker with your daughter but I am glad to hear she has a good GF.

How old is your son? My daughter was 14 when she told us. Her father did not take the news too well. When he found out he was very angry. He has a biological daughter who is 22 that is Bi. He never had a real problem about her when she was living w/ her GF... but for some reason he just snapped when our daughter came out. Since then I have had to talk to him and let him realize that we as parents,, we have to be there for our daughter. That in this world the one person that you are suposed to always have on your side is your parents,,, and if he couldn't be there, well, that would be his loss. But I told him that he would not put my daughter down or punish her for who she is. I have had a hard struggle w/ my parents acceptance,, and I know how hard that was on me in my 30's and I was not going to allow that to happen to my daughter. Plus I have done my research and the statistics show that the suicide rate can be higher in gay/bi teens... and I was going to make sure that she felt good about herself during this new discovery of herself. So, now he just doesn't ask about it,, and he tells her he loves her. Now, first of all my daughter is 15 so she is of course too young to date (I"m an old fashioned mom!). Her GF is the same age and her parents are very supportive of her and she is 100% out to everyone. It is so amazing to see these young kids so comfortable with theirselves. Sure wish times were that advanced back when I was 15!!! They do go to the movies w/ me and my other kids ,, but that is as far as the "dates" go. Well,, there ya go.. another long story!! :)
I am trying to see if we can juggle everything to go on a cruise,,, I know we need a vacation -- thats for sure!!!

PS--- and about Genetics,,, My wife Holly,,, Her Aunt (Mothers sister) is a Lesbian, her 20 yr old Niece (Brothers daughter) is a Lesbian, and she has 1 or possible 2 cousins that are Lesbians!!! Now those are some good Genetics in that Family!!! wooo hoooo :D

Hi there... I'm in Oklahoma, my name is Angelica, but everyone calls me gel. I live in Oklahoma City OK with my wife, Brenda and our son Tyler (Bren's mom also lives with us) Tonight I am dreaming of going on this cruse myself... My wife and I are both in college and we both work approx 50 hrs a week. We are litereally laying in the bed with our laptops with one of our dogs in between us. Funny, our lives are so busy when we get the chance to just "be" this seems to be our favorite thing to do.

Lately we have been enjoying the spring time weather. Planting flowers, fixing things up in the house etc. At this point a vacation is all I dream of doing. Of coarse, then duties call. Our son is having surgery in a few weeks Ironically we also insaminate that week and then I graduate from college... We always said that when I graduated we'd go on this cruise. Now, we are truly deciding if this is something we can do. I know that for our son and for me this is a dream. We plan to travel with our little family unit (two moms two dads our son and hopfully a baby in tow.

Hope to hear from you soon

Happy Easter!!
Hope everyone got plenty of chocolate bunnies and found all the hidden Easter eggs!!!
Nice to meet you Gel. And Congrats on the Graduation next week, and all the best luck on the insemination!!!
Are you doing an at home insemination or one at a doctors office? My wife and I are looking at what options we will need to do when we want to have our baby. I'm 35 so I need to get busy!!
Tomorrow is an exciting day for us.... we go the the bank to get our loan approved for our new house!!! I can't wait. I have all these little flowers that need to be planted at their new home!!
Bye,
Raynae'
