I live in Los Angeles and I just became a new mommy. I just adopted a baby boy, Robert Jacob. He is five weeks old. I am just looking for other gay parents to share ideas and thoughts. Every day I have so many questions!!

WOW:D
Thats Incredable!
Do you you have people in your life to help out? New borns are amazing...and amazingly ALOT of work. Our oldest came to us at the age of 15 mo old through foster care. We so had a wish for a newborn but a child was realy ALL we wanted in our life. Not much more then 1 year or so later the birth mother had us notified of her pregnacy and wanted us to adopted our to be born son. What a blessing...
But two year later...I still haven't forgotten the fog of the first three of so months. Best of luck to you and Congradulations:)

What exciting news! Congrautlations!!
I agree, they grow up fast. Invest in a good camera and video camera. Take pictures of everything. Keep a journal. Some of the things they say as they get older are PRICELESS!

Wishing you all the best,

MissJen is right! Keep a journal. I did that when my son was a baby (should have kept it up) and I always addressed it directly to him. Now, at 11, he reads it. He really enjoys seeing and thinking about what I was thinking at such simple moments as even watching him sleep. JOURNALS are a must!

ENJOY!
