Hello All!
What an exciting week this is! We had our NCL Dawn movie screening on Sunday and it was a true success. About 500 people came and celebrated the occassion. Tonight will be the press/ celebrity premiere at HBO, so look for press coming out soon. Then Gregg and I begin our travels to Palm Springs, San Francisco, Miami and Los Angeles. Then the movie officially airs on HBO on April 6th.

Ro and I are so proud of this film and the work that Shari Cookson and HBO put into it. I hope you guys tune in and post your thoughts here. I cant wait to read them.

Best
Kelli

I have to say what a difference an edit makes! The final cut version of the film you showed on Sunday was so much more cohesive and emotional than the version we saw on the boat last summer. I can't put my finger on what was taken out or what was put in, but the end result was stunning. We all shed tears for the beauty, tears for the pain, and left the theater feeling part of something very special. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Dear Kelli,
Wanted to share with you what's going on in Vermont:
Vermont TV WCAX coverage on 'Forever Family'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gay dads were included in a four part series 'forever family' part 2. The experience of sharing our story was amazing...and emotional. Our 2 yr and 4 yr old could not have been more thrilled to see themselves on television. We hope that hearing our words and those of their biological mother about how our family came to be will be conforting to our children as they are older and more questioning. The experience was one of also representing our community...hoping that the message that "non traditional" families are realy special and also just very "normal"! Cheyenne came to us as an emergency placement through foster care. That amazing experience led to the reliquishing of parental rights and then an adoption. The birth mother when discovering that she was pregnant again found us and choose us to adopt directly at birth. These stories do exist! We realy feel a need to tell our story hoping it is heard...and others in foster care are found by seeking to be parents. We just feel very blessed.

This story can be viewed on line. Bring up the WCAX web site. 'search' for "forever family part 2"

I must thank you for the creation of the RFAMILY cruise! Ever since your first departure I've been updating my partner of the trip...and the next cruise planned. We both knew "it wasn't in the budget" but it made for great conversation...and dreaming. Well we have made reservations for Feb 2007! Cheynne (4) and Kody (2) are going with Papa & Daddy on our first cruise:D

Hope to meet your family,
James Lapierre @ Craig Stevens

(Can't wait to see the HBO documentary on April 6th...thanks again for all your family does for our community) :)

Any chance you may be coming to Detorit or anywhere near it to promote your film and cruise? Just wondering.

WOW! What awesome premiers at the HBO theater and on the Dawn. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Rosie, Kelly, Gregg, Shari, John and the HBO folks. We've seen the film four times now. Each time we cry. Each time the essence of the first cruise portrayed on the screen is just as strong.

We were in awe when we "walked the red carpet" at HBO (without the carpet), with the media presence. Won't name drop as to who was there, but look for reports. Best was reconnecting with other families who were featured in the film. It was a warm, nurturing and loving experience. And, on the Dawn, it was a big family reunion!

Don't miss "All Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise" !!

Kelli, Rosie, Gregg and the r family staff,

Thanks so very much for making your dreams our reality. We feel blessed to have been a part of the past two cruises. Sunday was so much fun. It felt like we were on a short but wonderful cruise....The film captured the very essence of our lives...families like all others built around love and commitment. What a wonderful gift you have given to us... . Our hope is that those who watch this film will gain a greater understanding of who we are... We are different...we are the same.
Love is love no matter how it is embraced.

thank you for making a difference in our lives...

WOW! We saw "All Aboard" yesterday on the Norwegian Jewel. What a wonderful experience it was! Of course being on the ship made us want to immediately leave for Alaska! The documentary was amazing! I laughed (out loud even!), I cried, I smiled and left with a good feeling inside. I'm really glad there are people who have the talent and the resources to educate the public and show the world that a family is not defined by sex but by love and a desire to be together. The woman who said she lived her life; loving her partner/wife, raising a family, going to work, had to remember she was gay! That's how it should be, natural, and I am fortunate that it is for me too. I am always who I am no matter where I am and I am grateful for that, but for those who are not able to feel that way all of the time, the R Family Vacations provide the perfect place to be yourself. As another woman in the film said, "I feel free", pretty much sums it all up. Thank you.
