Leticia-Monterey is a great idea-I love it there-just got back from there with my children. The aquarium is spectacular-I am a conservation member there-a worthwhile cause--love love love the jellyfish rooms with the new age music.Also love the Italian dining there..not very fond of Bubba Gumps though.:rolleyes:
Also we take several trips to San Francisco-so much to do and see-the kids love it. Pier 39 is great-trips to Alcatraz..shopping at the Embarcadero-priceless

Those sound like great places to go to but I am wondering what type of land vacation would travel from place to place like that to visit? Would it be viable to do a land trip to that many places with buses? Wouldn't they have to limit the number of people that would be able to participate in a trip like that?

Hi all,one more week, we cant wait. My partner Rey and I and our 4 boys will be coming from Monterey.This would make a great place for a land vacation by itself. So much to do here for adults and kids. Tour all the historical buildings in old Monterey, Fishermans Wharf, Cannery Row, Monterey Bay aquarium, bay cruises/ whale watching, Pebble Beach and Carmel. Cruise ships have also started coming here a few years ago. A lot of things are walking distance or just minutes away. I will mention it to Kelli and Gregg, a west coast cruise would be great also. (maybe San Francisco, Monterey, San Diego?) See you all soon !

San Fran/Monteray sounds great--love it there-plus when we drive from San Francisco-it is great as well-the fruit stands/artichoke farms-truly there is no other aquarium like this one
in Monterey. So what are they building by Bubba Gumps? The new construction?:cool:

There will be more shops on lower level and a hotel complex on both sides of Cannery Row. With an overhead walkway connecting them. The project is more than 30 years in the making.
