What can I say...This cruise is a total blast with or without kids. I dont have any kids and wasn't sure what it would be like for me. I was pleasantly surprised. For those of you going solo there is sooo much to do and so many great people to meet. I brought eight of my single friends with no kids on the last cruise. They had so much fun they have all booked for Alaska. Dancing till dawn and one great show after the next. The entertainment will blow you away!!! I cant wait for the next one.

Oh my Gd I cannot stand it anymore. My partner and I booked our room on the Alaska cruise a few weeks ago after watching the "sold out" icon pop up on row after row of rooms. We do not have kids...and who cares. We will adopt a whole boat load of everyone else's kids for a week and have a blast. I am a 45 year old woman and I haven't "counted the day's" to a vacation in YEARS. I cannot wait to meet new friends and have a blast on what is sure to be an experience of a lifetime. How many days til July? Randi

Great move Randi...you're going to LOVE it. Last summer's trip was truly the best vacation ever, and we do lots of vacations. There is just nothing like an R Family cruise!

What can I say, I actually have a calender counting down to Alaska. This will be our third cruise and I can not wait. We are from Jersey so it will be nice to get off the east coast. We do not have children but Kelli, Gregg, and the team have done a wonderful job making the cruise great for everyone. I am soooo happy that my wife and I have a place to relax and be free. Here's to another great cruise!!!

Last years cruise was our first R Family, but it will definately not be our last...it is just the beginning! Five minutes into the cruise as we were passing the Statue of Liberty, getting a "helmut" of beer, I said "WE ARE GOING TO ALASKA!" It was THE most comfortable, enjoyable, fun place to be. We don't have kids either, but our whole family was there and the kids had a fabulous time, so for Alaska we decided to bring our niece and nephew (the kids) with us!

I am so glad to hear that you emjoyed it as much as we do. I can not tell enough people about the experience. I feel like I am a spokesperson for Rfamily. I don't think that I can express to Rosie, Kelli, and Gregg the appreciation I have towards them for allowing us to have a vacation like the ones that they provide. I have learned so much from the people that we have met and the forums that they provide on the cruise. It is wondeful that the cruise is fun but also that we are able to discuss gay and lesbian issues across the board.
Here's to Alaska!!!

Randi,
I'm with you. Each time a cruise was announced we didn't have the money to go. This time I was determined to go, so I booked the cruise and told my partner in an anniversary card. Her reaction was awesome. We are also in our late 40's, so we're looking forward to a real vacation together. It will be our first real vacation in 9 yrs. And we too are counting the days. See you on board. Kathy

For my g/f 50th birthday and our 15th anniversary I booked us a cruise!!! Whoo Hoo!! We don't have any kids so we invited 5 of our dearest friends to share this adventure. I'm hoping that the close proximety (sp) to hundreds of kids will get her maternal instincts roaring.:D So thank you Kelli and Greg for making it possible for dreams to come true, and for making the cruise so affordable for families.
I'm also excited that quite a few of my "stranger friends" from the TLM Zone.affectionely known as Zoners,Tamazons :D will alson be going on this trip. So heres to new friends, old friends and the joy of being with "Family".

July's cruise was our first also. We had friends that went on the Bahamas cruise and they were so impressed, that's all they could talk about for months. Now I know why!!!!!! Our family is from a small town in Pennyslvania where "gay" may be considered a curse word. ;) When my partner and I got together four years ago our world as we new it came tumbling down. In a few short months we were churchless, friendless and the talk of the town. My children had to leave their "Christian school" and their little lives were also changed forever. It wasn't until I stepped onto the boat and saw all the family's just like ours; I felt a sense of peace, safety, and belonging, that I had not felt in years. I realized that we were OK! Our family may not be the norm but it's a great family and one that I should be allowed to be proud of. I met the most loving, moral, compassionate people in the world on that ship. We too count the days until the next ship sails. Alaska will be great but the friends and acceptance on that ship is what we look forward to most. Thank you Rosie, Kelly and Gregg for giving our family the vacations of a lifetime.

Cheri-Kim,
I hear you on small PA town crashing down all around you!!! I am originally from Lewisburg (in case you have heard of it).....it is an experience all on its own!
We went on the first cruise with our 2.5 year old twins...and the second cruise alone. We had equal amounts of fun, just very differently. I bought a lot more souvenirs without the kids????
